*** OcUK Crysis DX9 TopList ***

Good call guys. To Gurusan for deleting it and to Marc2003 for having the option to do so :). I was extremely bored and went through the thread again from start to finish to see people's overclocking on certain cards and after seeing the amazing turn around for a second time I decided to have a look at the screenshot and seen the 6 minutes of difference and knew that Crysis wasn't removed, re-installed and that benchmark ran in the time given. I wonder what random person in the world had their screenshot used?. Kudos to the screenshot owner if not doctored :D.

Had another go with the Crysis 1.1 update and latest nvidia drivers (169.21). Managed an extra 1.2fps. Woohoo!! :D

34.44 fps

X2 5200+ @ 2860
8800 320GTS @ 640/1000

Just installed the latest beta drivers from nvidia (169.28_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_beta 01/10/08) and have lost 142 points from 3dmark (from 10019 to 9877) and 1 whole fps in the Crysis benchie. Heres my 3rd (but not best) result (with new beta drivers)

33.44fps

X2 5200+ @ 2860
8800 320GTS @ 640/1000

Can someone with a well clocked GTS and c2d or c2q @ around 3.4-3.6 do the bench at 1680x1050 with no AA pls?. I want to see how they perform at that res against a GTX.

Hey Biohazard, how come you score better than fornowagain at lower clocks all round?

Drivers? Faster RAM?
Better optimised system? Different drivers (omega), maybe the chipset (mines P35), not sure if 1.1 patch makes any difference? But look closer, his shaders and memory are clocked higher.

Not by much! And you have a Q6600 clocked 250mhz higher than his cpu?

Maybe there's a limit to how much cpu speed will benefit this game. It is after all a GPU intensive game. Just that I gained nearly 10fps changing cpu, RAM and mobo.

I wouldn't take too much noitice of GPU-Z. The actual clocks are a bit further apart than they appear.

830/2075/2230 is 828/2052/2232

801/2098/2260 is 799/2106/2268

2106/2052 = 1.026 +2.6%

Well my ram ain't flash, just generic PC2 6400 2 x 2GB now. Although my Video ram and shader were clocked higher than fornowagain's card.

 Who knows, but I always run a lean system. I think that helps.

He has 2Mb more cache too! ;) :D

I don't know how it beats it, it just does. Although my fsb is slightly higher.

Oooh I love a mystery. Cpu and fsb isn't making that much difference. Here's a 450x9 4050Ghz run, gained me all of 0.5fps with the extra 225MHz. What do you score at 800/2000/1100?
