** OCUK EXCLUSIVE - AK RACING & AROZZI GAMING CHAIRS **

Hi there

I thought these chairs were just a gimmick, I should know better though really considering how I love bucket seats in my cars.

Anyway had a sit in this:-

I am converted, so damn comfy and considering how much our office chairs cost which are nowhere near the same quality or comfort level the price seems very impressive to me. :)

I was thinking of picking up one of the regular ones but after seeing that red one it is rather nice...

Going to hold off for a while anyway until some more people have got them and to see if any changes will be made.

I think the majority of the owners will admit that the comfort of the chair is brilliant and the overall structural build quality of it also seems very good. The only let down I can tell is the finishing of the product, namely the blemishes on the base, wayward stitching, flimsy plastic and wobbly arm rests, which if I'm entirely honest doesn't in any way actually affect the overall feel of the chair and they kind of don't matter when you're sat in it. Without a doubt if you want a chair for comfort and support for almost any size of user, it's certainly worth considering, I just hope future batches are checked more thoroughly. Also I hope they don't include the gloves in future batches, even as a laugh, no-one should be provided with dirty gloves even if they can't be used.

It's almost like the gloves were what the workers were wearing and they threw them in the box when they were done, considering how small and dirty they are.

I'd agree with everything but the arm rests wobbling being an issue, however small. I would expect that style of rest to have a little wobble, every one I've owned like that has.

Given my size 6ft 3 and 230lbs I am impressed with how well i fit in it.

the gloves appear to have picked up grease from the bolts is all they have never been worn i'm pretty sure it's just a faux pas putting them in the same bag. Personally they are useless.

Is it zipped on around the back upper part, it looks as if it is going by those photos? If so, is this not another bad idea as zips tend to break, the teeth come apart and then it's had it?

Correct the wobbly arms is due to the design are arm they are, my office chair and chair at home has same design of arm and indeed their is wobble but when in the chair it is un-noticeable.

OK, Not so bad then.

I just checked the price on my office chair for comparison, we paid £350 as a deal for volume, individual price, £499, absolutely insane.

Office chair is now gone and replaced by this chair. Sorry guys, its mine now! :D

the plastic will be the same on most premium chairs i think due to the padding at the side so no point sending back for that. as for the little mark/hole on th eback it is tiny but took the pic with my dslr cam so looks huge lol. all in all i cant complain, iv had worse for that price and them companys where a pain to deal with. OCUK have done a good job and no point all the hassle of taking apart, re packing and sending back for a few minor things.

plus my god its comfy.

If you are going to compare this chair with anything, it should be the DX Racer, office chairs are a totally different market.

Did all four of your washers stay attached when connecting the two halves together? Two of mine came unstuck just by removing the existing bolts, blu-tack and magnets were the solution for me.

Good to see OCUKs response here, glad you are listening. I think I'm going to keep my premium, I assume if things like stitching do start failing within the one year warranty due to poor workmanship this would be covered?

Sorry mine was awful and I've had to return it for a refund. Maybe just a bad batch but

"Manual poor
no cut holes in fabric for screws to go through
screw holes random diameter,
tools not a great fit
stitching frayed.
cloth ripped in corner showing filling.
the mysterious gloves included (only 1 pair), mine were...soiled...
the seat creaked even when everything was tightened.
the fabric within creaked and was only filled in random places.
plastic so pour strength that it is not functional.
the tilt mechanism etc was very aggressive and made huge noise moving."

Exchanged my Premium Carbon an hour ago at OcUK HQ. Just got home and building it now. Was a straight swap with no fuss - thanks OcUK!

Taking a closer look a few things this time around:

- There's visible threads dangling under the seat again - just as there was in my first one. These are coming from the elastic-green things underneath.

- The 'soiling' of the white gloves is because of the two allen/hex keys. Just rubbed them both up and down with the gloves and the colour is a match.

Going with my own instructions this time around as the supplied ones clearly aren't ordered right!
