** OCUK EXCLUSIVE - AK RACING & AROZZI GAMING CHAIRS **

Such a shame too the padding on the backrest of the premiem is amazing, very thick and fully padded no empty holes with just fabric covering them which are on the cheaper model. Similar to the d series padding wise.
I am reluctant to send it back as its perfect otherwise but i just dont expect replacements for the plastic coverings from ak racing.

That's 1 thing I have noticed when researching these chairs, the DX Racers look a little thin compared to AK Racing, and AK Racing has a class 4 gas lift where DX has class 3, so AK can hold up to 28 stone and 18 stone for DX.

AK Racing seem to be the better spec chairs, but DX already has a well established brand.

Swings and roundabouts.

I'm only 11 stone 6lb and 5'8" so I'm not too worried about the weight they can hold as both are more than adequate. More about the quality, reliability, comfort and aftersales service.

Didn't notice that the DX looked thinner and they say that they use the same foam as used in car seats with a full tube frame. They have the same 2 year warranty as the AK.

Anyone here actually tried the DX and AK to see how they compare?

The dx have multiple series.
The F series is there cheapest and most popular. Look similar thickness wise to the 179 ak racing ones.
The D series is the one with the extra padding like the premieum ak racing and similarly priced.
Design wise both the dx and ak are similar to each other with dx being the ones who started it all.

I think its just dx have had more time to sort things out on the quality checks

Well Didn't rjk say that they have a bunch of spares that's in the other container? Might be some in there.

Well I did think all was great. I was sitting on the chair for a few hours. I wasn't moving when suddenly I heard a noise.

The left side plastic piece (upper piece) had fallen off! Leaving part of the plastic on the screw and a nice diamond shaped hole in the plastic.

This really isn't good enough for a product costing close to £250!!!

I really don't want to have to dismantle the whole chair for sending back as I've already disposed of the packing. What are my options here?

I am really really disappointed with this. Makes me really question how long this product will last.

Keen to hear how people get on with DXracers, thoroughly disappointed having to send my AK back. Was the trend that all the premiums are fine?

Yeh but hey dont fit regardless, they are not designed for the chair they just hang off :/

Rather just buy a D series DX racer, same thing but the quality is there.

Obviously too late now but in future I'd suggest holding onto any packaging for a week or two.

Can I just ask, is the plastic part that doesn't fit well and seems to be breaking off only for aesthetics and doesn't affect the usage of the chair?

The reason I ask is that while I agree it is not acceptable quality, I am not really interested in the looks, but more in the comfort and durability of the main components.

Thanks.

Yes the plastic is just to cover the metal and screws that attach the base to the back.

Thanks for that that.

Would you say that, apart from the plastic, the rest of the chair feels like it will last a while?

The chair is solid, the plastic bits on the side are the only let down in my opinion. Mine has a hole in because I tightened it too much, but I will keep it anyway because its so comfortable.
