**OcUK EXCLUSIVE - RAZER BLADE WORLD's THINNEST GAMING LAPTOP!**

A US keyboard has one less key, if you change keyboard layout to GB you'll have \ missing. Also the enter key is a different size and takes some getting used to.

I think you should make this clearer, I know I wouldn't want a DSR case on an item like this!

Hi there

The keyboard issue is simply because Razer don't officially offer this product in the UK and won't be in the near future, so the exclusivity is huge because were the sole importer and the maximum we can get is 30 units and our first delivery is 10, if they sell we can get upto 20 more. If they don't sell were stuck with 10 very nice laptops. :)

As such the only way we can offer these to UK customers is by importing them. As such any issues and OcUK handles the RMA, we do the support.

Cant say fairer than that...

Why is this laptop worth £2399.99 because i cant see £2399.99 worth of parts stuffed inside it.

Law of diminishing returns...

There will no doubt be a mich higher "design cost" to this due to limited market and additional design costs around making it as powerful as it is, within the footprint. Like GPUs and CPUs once you start pushing the envelope the cost starts to rise disproportionally, but for some, the cost is irrelevant, they just want the item. A niche product for a niche market, hence the reason why OCUK have only started out with 10 I would suggest....

NB + there is bound to be a Razer (aka PC Apple) premium :D

Am I going blind or has anyone been able to find exactly which Core i7 is in this thing? I've looked on the Razer site and can't find anything ... except to say it's a DUAL CORE !

Really? Nearly £2.5K and it's not even a QM series CPU, and it doesn't even appear to be specified as either Sandybridge or Ivybridge, although I suspect it's the former instead of the latter.

It has to be said - within the confines and obviously limited cooling potential of this particular chassis it would be unreasonable to expect it to be a quad core.

Forgetting about anything else I would expect more CPU muscle in this price bracket. You could easily save yourself £1K and buy yourself an Ivybridge based QM sku which I suspect would dump on the Razer Blade's performance from a great height.

lol really I'm relaxed, honest. ;-)

Well in all honesty I'm actually in the market for a new laptop and the budget is flexible, but that doesn't mean I'm ready to have my pants pulled down by a manufacturer thats selling bling over substance.

I'm just sharing my opinion with your other discerning customers, and I'm sure those with the budget to outlay on a high-end gaming laptop would probably think the same as me and (apparently) a couple of other people in this thread that have spent a moment to think it through. I'm sure you credit your customers with being smarter than most, because only a total retard with more money than sense would give this a second look. I dunno, you might be in the fortunate position of having plenty of such customers.

You guys would seriously be better off spending your time sourcing products that would actually sell, as opposed to stuff about which people are going to merely enquire about.

If you want a car analogy (since you mentioned Veyrons), yes, I've been down the Ferrari dealership in my Noble M12 GTO3 recently, looking like a serious punter with cash in my pocket but without the slightest intent to part with it on a 458. Got my test drive though and very nice it was too, but I'm going down to the Nissan dealer to get a GTR instead, because I'm going to be able to drive that thing every single day. I'll save myself huge sum and my grin will be just as wide plus I'll be grinning more of the time rather than just at weekends when it's not raining.

I'd still rather have a P150 Clevo or m14xr2 than this laptop though and I'd spend over a grand less! Perhaps I could put it towards my Ferrari 458 fund....

Agreed, we sell the P150 Clevo based laptops and yes they are a lot better value for money. :)

But as Rich has said, this Razer Blade is like the Ferrari amongst laptops, its got the performance and it most definetely has the looks and unique design, that is why people buy Ferrari's and not GTR's. Exclusivity, brand, looks, rareness and their heritage.

GTR buyers want supercar performance without supercar price and we also offer that with our own OcUK laptops (Clevo based). :)

It's a lovely looking laptop and I wish I had a spare 2.5k :( I own a few Razer products and I can imagine I'd cream my pants unboxing this :o would be like a lifetimes worth Christmas's had come at once!

this arrived today,

all i have to say is WOW

nicest laptop i have ever seen.

and i spend all my time around high end hardware, so stuff like this is usually boring to me

Can we see some more detailed pics please rjkoneill?

Have since found out it has a 2nd built in screen which is also the touchpad... Gimmick? Who knows, will have to wait for early purchasers to give their verdict.
