Great looking and performing card with the fins in the correct orientation (i.e. parallel to airflow coming from front of case). If I was in the market for a 970 this would be a no-brainer.
Only surprise for me was the single display port. Given the power of this beast will people really be using HDMI or even dual-link DVI?

rather depends on the case I think, the one I have in mind for my planned low noise build might be better with fins perpendicular...

Well you know your customers best so keep doing what you're doingDVI is actually still the most popular connectivity.

yes, thats what we re hoping for !Well we now have 970 covered.
Next project will be an all out 8 Pack 980 Edition, so big OC, killer looks and huge OC potential with a whopping price tag.
I was quite surprised to see TWO DVI ports on the 900 series, you would expect manufacturers would just drop one and include a HDMI-DVI adaptor for those who want to connect two DVI screens, it's not like it would cost any extra and it would make the cards single slot when water cooled.

For SLI, reference would still be the better choice though I'm guessing? This is a beautiful card though, congrats!

I expect the answer will be no, but there's no harm in being cheeky and asking. Will this be sneaking its way into the Black Friday sales with one of your classic silly prices?
If not then, since Return of the Obra Dinn and The Escapists aren't exactly the most taxing of games, I'll wait until the January sales and GTAV's release for my GPU upgrade

I think everybody on the forum who is interested in this card was hoping it would be discounted...
I share your frustration though, so many good deals around on Black Friday but rare to find exactly what you wanted on discount.
