OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

This is why we advice against using Amazon, in this very guide on the first page!

Amazon takes the order, charges the order but never sends the actual order to us, they will then just issue a refund a day or two later. It is not an OcUK issue, it is an Amazon issue, we never see the order as they never send it us.

They did the exact same on 3080 situation, but it was 100's, Amazon checkout struggles with high demand products, to the point it just seems to give up, but take the money but never sends an order or communicates with the reseller (us) and when it realises it just auto refunds by 48hr later.

Apologies but its not OcUK error and is why we advice against Amazon payments as per the first page of this buying guide.
Gibbo, I know you can’t 100% say but can we expect the new msrp for base models 9070XT to be £649 going forwards? Is there no more AMD rebates to OCUK? Thanks as I was interested at £570 but failed many times last week due to using my credit card and my bank app taking ages to authorise by which time stock had sold out.

In 2023 the msrp mba 7800XT I bought from OCUK was in stock for days and days!

What has changed all of a sudden? (Again apologies you may not be able to answer this).

Well done though on big effort getting a few hundred of us forumers cards at msrp!

I keep seeing these 9070s in stock... trying to hold out of a 'decent' priced 9070xt and not the 9070 - because I feel like I know eventually there will be lots of 9070xts and then Ill be like I wish I got that instead of the 9070 :)

The only reason I used Amazon is your payment pay was crashing over and over again. And now you've told me to reorder as there are no GPUs. So what happened to the one that was allocated to me? Also, I've never had this happen with Amazon pay before and I've used it tons with you guys.

Wasnt going to be in yesterday when my 9070xt reaper was supposed to be delivered so i changed delivery to today, and after no notifications today I jumped on DPD chat and apparently its been "damaged" in transit. I got this for MSRP so Im really hoping @Gibbo and the team can get this sorted for me. But im very aware of the stock levels and such. Very annoying spent the morning setting up a new linux setup as moving from nvidia so needed to move from bazzite.

ROFL. Are you serious McPee?. Been checking ebay and there are hundreds of scalpers selling their scalped 9070XT gfx cards. At leas half of them saying purchased from OCUK. Have invoice. Also, most of them have many units of 9070XT from multiple retailers, Why did ocuk and other retailers sell to scalpers and not genuine pc gamers?. Something strange going on. If you disagree then feel free to debate with me, but please none of this keyboard warrior nonsense like you did with canopus. Very disrespectful.

I'm happy to know that my post got you riled up enough to register for an account on the forums. The content of your post is a tad... disappointing though. Just the same old entitled gamer rage cliché.

Years ago, during the crypto mining boom, Gibbo hid a bunch of GPUs in the 3D printer section of the OCUK webshop. They were sold for well below the market rate at the time. He notified members of this forum about the hidden listings via the Members Market, which has fairly heavy access requirements. The only people who could see the listing announcement were long-standing, active members of this forum. It turns out, there isn't a clear dividing line between "gamers" and "scalpers". A bunch of the cards wound up on eBay.

Frankly, it is you who is being disrespectful. @Gibbo was working late into the night on launch day to give "genuine PC gamers" the best possible chance of scoring a card. He didn't have to do that. Consistently, he has gone above and beyond what he has to do, in order to ensure "genuine PC gamers" have the best chance of getting the hardware they want, despite it not necessarily being the best short-term commercial decision (at the end of the day, a sale is a sale).

"Scalping" won't be eliminated. There is no reasonable means by which retailers can vet customers to not only ensure that they actually are gamers, but that they also won't sell their purchase on for a profit. The only thing that will make a dent in scalping is if people stop paying inflated prices & start being patient.

@djxput is your 6700 holding up well?
to be honest it is - the nitro is the best one out there - I like to play at 1440p so does that well with most games (non fps ones) but would like to do 1440p with everything maxed so been eyeing a 9070xt just dont feel like overpaying.

Hey @Gibbo any word on the Sapphire Nitro + Radeon RX 9070 XT cards yet Thanks again!

ETA with us is tomorrow/Wednesday. :)

Demand is far higher, its that simple and the supply is not able to handle the demand.

One was never allocated to you as I repeat we never got your order from Amazon and I repeat it is why we SAY DO NOT USE AMAZON!

Just received my Asrock RX 9070 XT Steel Legend, was lucky to get one with the 10pm drop on Thursday @ MSRP

Just to say that I never got a dispatched email from OC, just got the DPD txt a couple of hours ago so a major surprise today

Thanks Overclockers and Gibbo for giving the heads up here when the card would be dropped
