OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

It was. I added the card and it had the MHW promotion but I chickened out on last second. I wish I went through and paid. Now prices have gone up too much.

So from the list it seems it's only for the XT version. I hope it's still on.
I think @Gibbo said there was no game promotion for the 9070 series just before launch

Can't recall it was that price but the pulse was £570 on release. If that Nitro was £700, that seems way too much over the Pulse.
From a pure performance/cost point then the nitro+ or high end card never make sense. For me, the design of the nitro which includes the hidden connector and the build quality make that £699 worth it. The higher power limit and OC potential (minimal difference) is also nice.

The lower end models aren't chopped liver though nor are they compromised. Also the XFX models are the ones with highest clocks, and couple of others

I never said they were chopped liver or compromised, just that the nitro models (and other higher end models) tend to have the better build quality and nice features, like the hidden connector on nitro+ and the magnetic fans on the XFX mag air models. The nitro+ also comes with PTM7950 so theoretically should perform better over time in terms of thermals, the Taichi for example uses traditional pastes.
The nitro+ is also not the most expensive model, and is about middle of the pack, with prices ranging from £649 to £799 on OCUK website. (Nitro is currently £720).

It is all personal preference and depends on what you value the most as to whether a card is worth it or not. If I didn't have a fishbowl PC, then I'd get the cheapest card possible and not care about looks etc.

Don't forget the light bar

They can be £2.50 to £2500 does not matter if all are out of stock. I see this morning a load for different Nvidia cards have come into stock. Still major overpriced.
