It doesn't seem to be an issue with the making of the chips, its just wherever they are stocked they fly off the shelves. For example I follow an EVGA guy on twitter, he generally announces when cards go on sale and they're sold out. it takes literally less than 10 minutes for everything to sell out.

I've watched 4 such events thus far in the past week alone. It sure seems to me that a lot of people are buying these cards, not just our perception of the enthusiasts crowd.

It's definitely not just the 1% buying everything!

Well if you only ship 8 cards at launch it will be flying off the shelves.

Then the shipments after also only small quantities.

EVGA only ship 40 cards when there is a queue over 100 waiting? That is quite simple, insufficient manufacturing.

The information is wrong for the GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX 1080 XTREME WATERFORCE .. it has 8+8 connectors and not 8+6 ..

Asus are really p*ssing me off .. im still waitong for my Strix OC card .. this is ridiculous

There are cheaper cards then the Asus strix

My point is you signed a contract for that particular card. If you wanted a different card under finance you would need to sign a new contract which is a pain in the ass and takes several days.

They wont let you swap cards at all.

Yes around 2-3 weeks now on the Classified I would imagine. Once I have schedule I will confirm some dates.

All you Asus Strix 1080 OC pre-order people just switch. Who the hell knows when your GPU is coming? I waited 45 days for my FTW and I was about to go crazy!

Glad the drama of the 1080 pre-orders journeys over for me. My EVGA 1080 FTW comes tomorrow.

I guess the problem is that a lot of people have ordered cards at very good pre-order prices so they'd rather wait.

Its interesting to go back to page one to see how much the cards were originally before all this mess.

I'm 6 in the cue for the EVGA 1070 FTW,my luck they will only get 5in .

50 coming on the 1070 FTW shipping Monday/Tuesday so should easily be in the first batch.

1070 does not have the supply issues we are seeing on 1080.

Man, I thought I got my FTW when I saw this:



but when I checked, it was just another item I ordered which was shipped instead I am in the 2nd batch though so am still hopeful for next week!

At least 40 on the 1080 FTW coming in this week, this is the minimum amount as not quite finalised yet, will keep you all updated when shipment made.

I still need to look into this tomorrow as no one else is working on Sunday. Gibbo confirmed the paperwork said 40 so looks like a mis-calculation on my side when breaking down the stock allocation for Northern Europe.

I will confirm Monday and then aim to make up the shortfall from elsewhere this week if it is the case only 40 were shipped.

Because of people in the asus queue switching Ive went down nearly 50 places in the 1080FTW queue in 4 days and now it seems only 40 cards coming this week ! I know its not your fault personally Ben but seriously what is going on it'll be august before I get my card at this rate . This has been soul destroying

In Poland there's no chance to get FTW in this month, but Asus and Palit + Gigabyte are just in every bigger online shop. MSI is showing up too. So fu**ed up lol

We had 8, then 14 and then 10. Plus 33 due early next week.

Asus I have to say absolutely shocking, stating 1000 were coming into the UK a week ago, turns out they actually meant 1000 cards including all Pascal so 1070's as well which now makes more sense as we had 300 units of 1070 Strix cards delivered.

Is that 33 the only expected Strix 1080 OC shipment next week? If so, then at queue number 56 I can resign myself to basically the last week of July at the earliest. Bloody Hell
