Why not just switch to one of the many other cards which are in stock than get more and more infuriated by this eternal wait? What makes the EVGA/Strix so special, is it just brand loyalty because from what I can see most of these cards are generally on a level. Not having a dig at anyone, just curious as to what is so great about those cards above others.
Because majority of us pre-ordered them at much lower prices so the swap would cost us £50 to a £100 on top of what we paid. OCUK would look at what you've paid and then look at the current price of the card do you want to swap with and ask you to pay the difference. Some paid £550 for a card that right now goes for almost £150 more. So unless you're made out of money you're out of luck hence all the frustration.

That's fair enough. I paid almost £700 for my card, which on reflection is completely ridiculous made more so given that some games still need to be played at 1440P, a resolution that my old 980TI more than capably handled at half the price
Yeah this gets asked every few pages, for me its purely price, I paid £620 for the OC Strix and don't want to pay £700 plus for a switch.
Ive never had an ASUS card before and wont be again!
Just to reiterate my Strix reasons, FWIW:
- Brand loyalty (Have Asus MB + SC currently and used them off and on throughout the years)
- Usually good quality
- I want 2 x HDMI ports natively (4K AV Receiver+TV & Oculus Rift)
Had I seen the future of allllmost 2 months now waiting, I would have either A) Pre-ordered the minute available (rather than a couple days later) B) Hedged bets at other suppliers C) Gone for Gigabyte Xtreme Premium Pack with it's VR front bay (have since Pre-Ordered this elsewhere at high cost, to hedge bets)
Hanging on for the Strix OC in particular out of stubbornness now I guess, but also having moved house, I've got many other things to be doing rather than being sucked into the PC (Winter Is Coming though). I'm lucky there compared to poor sods I see stuck on Intel Graphics with no proper backup GPUs and wanting to game!
Just been told 5th of August for the FTW cards. I take back what I said about not been angry at OCUK. Not even a sorry or anything from customer service. This is getting beyond even a joke or anything. Almost two whole months. I have had better service with a chair company.
Hopefully they have the wrong information. Still hoping for the bonus shipment some time this week and the regular weekly 50xFTW shipment is supposedly due on Friday.

Glad my Inno3D 1080 4X arrived a few weeks after they were on pre-order early June. Must have been early in the queue.
I paid £589 for it, now they are £689.

I hope so too but its just annoying me and put me off buying a new card as soon as they come out!
The bonus shipment came last week. There should have been the regular one on Friday which never turned up. Same again yesterday and now I'm worried been pushed out of that shipment due to people switching to the FTW. Last time I checked on Wednesday I was 21st in the queue.
Don't get me started on how unfair it is for people from other queues to push in front just because they ordered earlier on a totally different product.

Thanks for the correction, I thought we were still waiting for the bonus shipment too! I was 78th before the last two shipments...

I would think that tweet suggests that OCUK have the shipment. We'll see...
