** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Now just need to dodge the missus when she asks, wots that? :o

Lol. Good luck with that.

I foolishly left a page open on the iPad with the custom 1080s on and got some grief about the price. Anyway, 1 new mobile phone later and she's a happy bunny again, but that 1080 cost me much more than I thought.

I've no idea what to do now - 1070 prices are meh so I started looking at the 1080 FTW.. Then I think is the FPS increase worth £200?..

Now I got a headache :D

I'm in the same boat but with ASUS. They already have my money, they could at least grace me with some form of reliable ETA in return.

Yeah, the communication from OCUK has been IMO shockingly bad.
The card I've bought (not going to say pre-order since they took the money for it 2 weeks ago now) originally has the ETA of the 27th. Then it changed to the 3rd. Then there was a post about delays for a week so it changed to the 10th and now it's the 17th.
I know it won't be OCUK's fault about the delays but other than the post by Gibbo about the week delay (which was hidden away in the news section) I've heard zip from OCUK about the state of my order and I'm pretty sure they know my email address and the fact that I've placed an order.

I've just got an email selling me the 1070 tho. Priorities!!

I will reconsider purchasing from OCUK in the future.

I will agree communication has been lacking.

I shouldn't have to go searching for information myself. A company that has a hold of my £500+ and says nothing is a bit poor.

I will continue to shop though as after sales is important to me and ocuk always delivers in that regard.

In my case I have no issues with OCUK; I had to ask rather than being kept informed, but when I did ask the replies were made on a timely fashion. Ultimately they cannot tell me what they don't know themselves.

What I do mind is a tier 1 manufacturer being unable to communicate down the distribution chain accurate timescales. Is disrespectful to say the least.

Just called as I can't use webnotes with my order number, looks like my orders going to ship today, so my new build is going to arrive tomorrow!

Just a shame OCUK didn't have the memory I wanted and I had to get that elsewhere, it's not coming in until sometime late next week :(

Guess I could have a play with the 1080's in my current rig though.

Yup email just arrived!! Will chase the memory now see if that's had any advance on its ETA.

Having a few days to wait isn't so bad as it gives me time to work out if I need any cable extensions, plan how many combs I need and get a decent fan controller.

I may sleeve all the fan and mobo cables as well, just need to have a look at what I need as I've never done it myself before.

Excited to start work on this project.

Having had to deal with MSI's RMA in the past I am not bitter in the slightest...

5 weeks for a portable and 6 weeks for a GPU.

Never again.

I've not had an issue with them so far, got a mobo replaced within a week.

Must say ASUS has been the best so far had one of my ROG Swifts replaced this week, reported the RMA last week and they sent a guy from DPD he took my monitor away and handed me a new one, was a pleasantly good experience.
