Two years on and off, hardest part for me is not scoffing. Fell off the wagon a few times and had periods of booze and troffing/putting weight back on. Found a gym with really good people which helped immensely. Aim now for lower body fat and bit more definition, not too interested in getting "big".

32" jeans for first time in 10 years! Clothes that fit, bloody awesome. :D
 
That's really impressive. Look like a completely different person!

What does the ex wife think of your new look?
 
I thought I'd post up my noob gains. It's nothing like the rest of you guys so go gentle :D Due to illness in 2011 my body can't produce testosterone (I'm on daily gel instead) so for the last couple of years I have just piled more and more fat on. I was also feeling generally tired and awful to the point of raising it with my doctor that my current gel wasn't working.

In May I was almost 13 stone and a 36" waist so I decided to do something about it. I spent a month going for 4 miles walks every day and changed my diet. When I got bored of that I would jog on the spot in my living room while watching TV (my kids thought I was mad!). In mid June I then bought some weights for home and am now 10st 10lb and a 30" waist and feel much, much better health wise.

Unfortunately due to space constraints I had to split my equipment between the garage and a bedroom. I train every other night when the family has gone to bed and alternate across barbell work/squat rack/dips in the garage and then dumbell and bench work in the bedroom on the other days (rest day in between each). It's cost me a fortune in new clothes already.

I'm quite pleased, especially given my previous health issues and the fact I'm not young anymore (I'm 45).

Brilliant work mate especially with low t levels!
Have you considered the Nebido injections? They seem to be much prefered once people have gotten over the initial dialing in their levels stage and it means it's a once every couple of months thing rather than daily gel application.
 
Thanks. I was offered monthly injections but thought that getting to my doctors once a month would prove difficult as I don't work near home. But just googling Nebido it looks like they are every few months instead which may be better. I'll take a look at them thank you.

Couldn't you self inject it? Might be worth asking your GP about. I'll not say any more to keep this non-medical.
 
Been on a bit of a bulk. Think i Overdid it...

So my plan is to cut body fat down in the next couple of months! 90kg now, so ill try to get to 85.

looking at this thread makes me want to get into shape.
i am 35 years old and weighing 172lb.
5ft 5" tall so a wee lad :)

im guessing i need to shred some weight ?
bit of a gut and those chins.
