Although people have said it's not enforced, i'm not interested in the RP thing at all.

Its not enforced and you dont have to RP, just be respectful of other people RPing.

Given the choice of a non-RP server where I post saying that I havent seen another human player and an RP server where there are people all over the place and events going on daily, I know which one I would choose.

Why not start on Laurelin? I was on Snowbourne for a while, and yes, I noticed too that the pop is very low. It's a lot better on Laurelin, also, it's nice to be a part of a Kinship for the social side, it can get quite lonely questing with no blue text on your screen(kin chat)

The RP tends to happen in the evenings and most of it happens in Bree, from what I've seen. I myself am not interested in RP, but it can be amusing to stand and watch people chat away in character.

I think you should re-consider it.

Bahh i've got into a bigger city now and it's a fair bit bigger. I don't want to have a start a new character :(

Mind you, better to start again when you're still a low level than get to a high level and find you cant do the group quests because you cant find anyone to group with :D

(not saying that will happen of course, but I'm a better safe than sorry kinda guy :) )

Think snowbourn was the hardest hit server with bans couple of months ago for exploiting bug in one of the high level instances.
My mains are on eldar and we had quite a few people coming over from snowbourn lately.

Doh sub ran out today. With the whole play for free thing coming in Autumn, don't think Ill be resubbing unless I get really really bored in the mean time.

Wow, that is news. (o no not WOW!)

They must offer something to lifetime subs, other wise its a bit of a kick in the teeth. Wonder what they'll cripple in the free one.

To be fair i bought mine a few years ago, so had my value out of it.

This is the difference between the new account levels - http://www.lotro.com/betasignup/vipchart.html

As far as what becomes of the lifetime subscription people, hardly anything changes for us. We still get access to all aspects of the game including a free 500 points to spend in the new LOTRO shop and are regarded as lifetime VIP members e.g. no monthly fee. I presume anyone not on lifetime will need to pay a monthly fee for VIP status.

Yes it looks like its basically the vanilla game is now free, upto level 50 sorta thing. Fill those empty lands up!

Edit, does the 2 gold limit mean no horsey at 35? :)

I think it'll be really good for the game in general. Laurelin, I'm a bit worried about. I don't see the community surviving an influx of f2p kiddies.

I trying to find out what quest packs are.

Does that mean you only get quests (as a prem/free) in

'Ered Luin, Shire, Bree-land (can purchase more)?'

Unless you pay for em
