OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

What was that caused by? Griefers? I still remember my huge wooden house that took me ages getting burnt down months ago. Was gutted. :(

A complete copy of the map was placed on the new server. Seeing as it was effectively a test map - with no ramifications - the inevitable soon happened.

It was a lot of fun, though quite surreal watching weeks of work turn into a wasteland in a matter of hours.

Ahh I see. Atleast it wasn't done by some rebel then!

Everythings getting put over onto a new server then? I've been out of the loop with MC for months but just starting to get back into it.

Okay.. If people want to 'get ahead' in terms of whitelist stuff you need to:

1) Go to http://linktart.co.uk and click "create an account" (on the right).
2) Enter your details, including your OcUK name and then click "Complete Sign-Up".
3) Check your email for your activation email. Click the link once you get it.
4) Go back to http://linktart.co.uk and click on your name on the right side. This will load your profile.
5) Click on Minecraft in the middle/left of page. Here you can enter your minecraft username. Once this is done and you've clicked submit you should be able to log into the linktart.co.uk Minecraft server (once it is up).

When new players registered for the Minecraft whitelist are they then automated stright on to the whitelist so they can play on the server right away ?

For the time being, yes, as it would take ages to manually approve everyone whilst I'm also moving things across.

If this is a problem I can change this behaviour later. We can also disable additional people signing up to the whitelist by simple turning off new user registrations on the LinkTart site.

Anyone available to quickly jump on to see if they can access chests in vaults? Ideally, they won't be able to.

Just one person - I'll add them to the whitelist temporarily.

Just that you now have a open door to let anyone on to this new safer, griefer free OcUK members only server.
As it is, the players that we have do not like anyone with only 1 post on the foums joining now anyone can join the server.
With half term week as well the kids could have some fun donig some damage in the middle of the night.

Yeah..I appreciate the concern. I'll change the membership status to LinkTart to require admin approval once we've got this first batch of members on the server (so I'll make this change later today).

When will us people be able to log in?

I'm rebooting the server in a minute and enabling the normal whitelist. At that point you will be able to login but *nobody* will be able to access vault chests. I'm in work atm so I can't really log into the game properly but once I'm home (4.30/5ish) I'll be online to help get people up and running.
