True they can get in....but the chunk is only active when you pass through it...and there are torches along the entire track length.

So if a spider has time (while you are zooming past on ur cart) to spawn, run like ****ing nuts, then jump through the gaps to the tracks, i rekon he deserves to stop you

If you walk the line, ofc he has time to do that, but you were probably quite slow

still reading up/watching vids abotu this game.
i asked it before but probably was missed, how easy is it to screw things up for everyone else on the server for a newbie? is it anything to worry about? the more im finding out abotu this game the mroe i want it but it will probably rely on being on a multiplayer server to get the best out of it.
can anyone tell me the basics or anythign i might need to know before buying it?

It's pretty much impossible to ruin the server as long as you don't create any fire. Fire on the game tends to leap 10 squares onto other things and burn down the whole server. I'd buy the game before it increases in price. Me myself am still trying to get put onto the list to be able to get onto the server.

Basically the best way to start is to walk for about 10 mins in a certain direction, find an area where nobody else has built nearby and make your home there. This way you wont annoy anyone. (I failed to observe this rule on the old server and built a massive ****-off bridge next to spawn that everyone hated xD)

I can probably cut out the first boring parts of the game by just giving you some essentials (stone tools, food etc) so that you can survive. From there its completely up to you. You dont even need to build a home, you could just explore caverns for materials and use them for yourself or use them for community projects, whichever you find most fun. The potential to ruin things is pretty small considering the amount of time it takes to make significant changes. As long as you aren't playing too much with fire, TNT or lava you wont come into any troubles.

In any case you should definately come on the server and give it a shot. The amount of enjoyment you can get simply from just exploring or setting up your perfect home is almost criminal, definately worth the measely price

Hipster covered most bits. When you spawn, you'll be in the town which has a few buildings, they should be labelled. Find the 'newbie' one, read the rules posted on the wall, and then help yourself to a few items from the chests to get started building/mining. Once you get up and running it is a lot easier, most of the players on here (I'm an exception, I hate mining

) are self-sufficient.

I'm taking a short break from the game, so I haven't been on as often. Uni term restarting, so I need to get on top of everything. I also got a bit ****ed off last night because I was messing with mine carts and kept dying.

Word of warning to people using the minecart mania stuff, if you get hit by a fast moving cart, or trapped between a cart and wall, you will die.

To add insult to injury, you also lose everything, it literally disappears. This happened to 1 or 2 people who were helping with the tracks and boosters at the station too, it's a pain in the ass.

Yeah I've found that too, i think we will simply have to write in chat asking if anyone is using the line before you use it yourself.

Eastbound line will now take you 'ALL THE WAY' to mine and rad's substation. We'll build the main Eastbound Sub-station half way between spawn and ours soon. But if any of you want a long train ride head over to main station and take eastbound line
