OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

I registered a few days ago but I still can't get onto the server. :(

Says I'm not on the whitelist. Minecraft username is scottyyy_

Hopefully the process for getting on the whitelist hasn't changed. :x

Join the Minecraft group on linktart.
Then click register & enter your MC username.
We'll be able to add you to the whitelist then x
 
Hmm are you sure you selected join on the group too, I know we had an issue before where someone had entered in there MC name but not joined the group too. Just double check for me if you can hun x
 
Well I've made it across the map to halfway down the left hand edge. Found myself a nice location in the mountains with lava and waterfalls (hopefully outside the "unstable" land as indicated by FT on a previous map pic) :). Now I need to work out how to teleport to my chests that were moved across?

Where abouts, Im down there near the same area you are describing :D

Im giong to have to build a massive 1x1 dirt stack lit up with lights so when the new carto comes I know where I am in relation to everything.
 
I think some sort of physical line or wall would be useful. Would hate people to build in the "unstable region" only to find it gone the next week!

The red circled area is where I'll be building, the orange circle is my current landscaping/mining area, beneath the waterfall.

Just under halfway down the left hand edge of the map:


FT marked the unstable area as dissecting the snowy area above me, if the line was accurate, then I should hopefully be fine :).

they're at /spawn now :p

Unfortunately the plugin that would do this hasn't been active for ages (we use BorderGuardLite - the non-lite version has a graphical border of some kind). I was considering using world edit tools to build some kind of physical border though (obviously would have to be just outside unstable land so that it doesn't get deleted all the time).

You should be fine but I would say that its' best to keep as far away as possible from the red line. I'll be experimenting with deleting chunks on a test server today so I'll be able to mark a more accurate line.
 
i guess a nice community build would be for people to build a trainline to a big train station near the edge.
 
well i should be back on-line a bit more regular from today.
If anyone needs help with landscaping just give me a shout my build can go on hold for a while until the landscaping is done.

Also i got down to my build and the old Mr Murical and yazyaz1's town
I sent my home there and made it public if anyone else needs to get there.
