Coming soon to a server near you (ok by near I mean the OCUK one ;))....

Transport Stations!

The admin team have worked hard on thinking up ways to help with transportation. We have created hot air balloon stations that will help you get to the 4 quadrants of the world easily. This will make travelling easier & let you set up communities a bit further out.

Currently the stations are not operational, but they are in place. Details of how they work, exact locations etc will be coming soon.

First of all.. the transport stations look bloody sweet!! secondly, is anyone else having trouble getting on the server?? trying to connected and it's coming back "disconnected by server took too long to log in" or "connection lost end of stream".... well gutted, have been looking forward to a wee afternoon of MC

Make sure to congratulate Zumii on this as she has spent many hours working on it even though we have had some set backs. Also be sure to thank Sylvet (even though he isn't around anymore) as it was originally his idea who spent many of hours getting it working.
 
It will give you lot, the community an opportunity to create a new town/spawn area same as with "The New foundland" on the previous maps. Then if this is good enough and supports everything a /spawn would need we may look at moving spawn if its possible.

That's the best place for them :) So as your out of luck it looks like you will have to play multiplayer... :p

Nah, I don't know of any other good sources really, always used to get mine off the forum.
 
We're not moving the spawn are we? It does annoy me when we do this as a lot of us build close to spawn for a reason, especially with a project such as the Colosseum. As much as I really appreciate Zumii's work and how awesome it looks I wouldn't like it to become the new spawn.

Me and others have spent a lot of time working on the spawn (especially the water level raising project) and I like it because it is not really anal like the old one. I think changing the spawn to this would take us back to that. I see no reason to dedicate the spawn to taking you to the four corners of them map and would rather see it integrated into the current spawn. You could use the area that my saloon is built on, or by moving the Pantheon and putting it in that area.

Although it is fantastic and looks amazing, I see no reason to dedicate the spawn to getting to the corners of the map and punish those who deliberately build close to spawn.
 
The spawn isn't moving around Zumii's transport hub as it's only a 30 second walk from spawn now :p
