OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Hello there,

I've been lurking in this thread for a while now, as well as playing classic, and have finally given in and bought minecraft. I've followed the instructions and would like to be added to the whitelist if I may.

misterPK - just don't update your client to 1.7 until the server has been updated!

Scratch that - apparently we're on the new version with new improved bugs already.
 
Can anyone confirm what version we're on? FT mentions updating earlier but then also mentions later that it'll have to wait 'cos he's moving house!

*hopes it's not 1.7 until the bugs are sorted*

In other news... I'm considering upgrading so I can play with Pistons... There is no chance we will get 1.7 on the servers by this weekend?

If you want to play with pistons and play on this server aswell you can do what I do. Download This portable Minecraft launcher. You just launch the game and it downloads the latest version in a self contained folder (it won't overwrite your %appdata%).

I've got 3 versions of minecraft going now...

Singleplayer - using the yogbox bundle
Multiplayer - for playing on the OCuk server
Pistons - For playing with pistonsssssss

Another top tip is to setup a dropbox with minecraft on it. So you can play on any PC and it acts as a good constantly up to date backup.
 
1.7 I believe misterPK, and I wouldn't advise DLing an old ver, it seems bukkit has come out very early for 1.7 and it would be easier to just wait til French updates.

As of 5PM we're still on 1.66 don't think FT is updating it anytime soon to 1.7 thankfully. I'll upload 1.66 client to a site and link here later once my daughter is asleep. Until then someone else might be able to help out if they're kind enough to zip up and upload it.

Surely people could manage this though lol..I made a custom bukkit server over the past few days just to try some new stuff out on and just zipped my .minecraft folder and gave it to my mates to install to log on. Quick 12mb download and unzip it to their own .minecraft and it was done.

we could have mods like mo's creatures or craftbook (read cauldrons,elevators etc).

That said its not me that has to arrange it along with all the other things you guys do for us, though I would offer to do any custom .minecraft folders if you guys wanted it.

Btw you guys got world edit for admin tools?? That plugin is something else!!

tbh in terms of admin responsibiliites i just set freddie on fire, that's about it :o

it's pixie, maxi french and syl that go the work ¬_¬
