OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

This maybe be right time for you to dump Multiplay & go alone on your server.
For the new features to work you are going to need a new world start anyway as I can't see half of them working on the new world like the, 15 wool dyes, New tree types, Reeds magically turned into sugar canes, bunch of new crafting recipes, One secret useful block, One secret pretty block.
With this server needing Hmod aswell.

Goodluck

May well be the case mate but a lot will depend on what Bukkit can offer.

In the meantime, the UKGame server I had is running Beta 1.2 if people want to play MP. There are no mods installed and no guarantee it'll remain running but if people want to mess about in beta for now, server ip is :

89.238.160.8:25565

Ok, here's the current plan. The UKGame server shall stay up and running Beta 1.2 without mods, this will be a freebuild do whatever the hell you want server. This is a fresh map.

Multiplay server will remain at 1.1 until a variant of hey0 appears or Bukkit works. All mods etc shall remain.

dragon, first you build that stupid guacamole sign which was obviously an eyesore and a pain with the stupid fence/half block surround. Now you want to build a spawner when we already have too many and there's a ban on new ones.

So no, you won't get your resources back for the guacamole sign. Perhaps that'll stop you doing something similar. And if you build a spawner it will be removed as well.

I'm thinking that'll we remove all spawners bar two "community" ones from the existing array, these can be connected to the rail network.

I expect people to have some common sense though and a giant sign saying guacamole is obviously not something to build right next to spawn. There's not much point in animal spawners as there's no effective ways of killing everything to get the drops.

Donation option added to first post.

Dragon, if you'd built it miles away it would have been fine but right next to spawn is where we've tried to keep everything reasonable. No massive stupid things etc.

Minecraft - An update on the current situation.
Jan 15 2011 17:12:35 by CraftyBadger
More information on the current minecraft situation can be found on the forums, but here is the latest update from our lead developer and Technical Director (CTO) K.

"Just wanted to update people so you know what's going on.

We've been making good progress on tools to help maintain a version of hMod for you guys as long as its needed. These tools once complete should enable us to rollout updates in a matter of hours, but obviously this is a significant undertaking so is taking some time to create.

Notch has stated that he was going to make upgrades optional but clearly this hasn't happened yet which is a shame.

We hope to have something for you to play with by the end of the weekend, even if this is very basic version with no plugin support, but as any developer will tell you it all depends on how quickly we can get the tools completed.

Its a real shame that the server code is obfuscated and hence takes so much effort for all the cool 3rd party tools and projects to maintain when updates are released, it could be so simple and hence updates would usually be relatively quick. Not as quick as when there is a core API in the server itself of course. Looking forward to that day

Anyway 6 nights on the trot with post 4am finishes, so gonna have to grab an early one, if you can call 01:30 early "

Back to it tomorrow."
