OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Just so people know, the castle I'm making (in the picture at the top of this page showing the rail track, my castle is at the far left edge, just below the middle, you can see the long outer walls containing the 3 flat areas of sand,my farm, and a large area of un-prepared land/mountains, well thats my castle) is not abandoned and I do intend to keep constructing it but my play time on the server over the next week or two may not be much due to some medical stuff I need to sort out. So I don't want anything thinking that it is unused and for people to destroy it or anything because that is not the case.

Good luck with the rail network and all the other projects people got going on, and I hope I'll be back on soon to continue building the castle.

maybe the lava window isn't the future for this then, i'll try something else with it maybe.

Or maybe spawn extends here and that's why it stops me placing lava?

Oh and is there any chance that the land mass between my house and spawn be filled in with grass? It looks god awful after everyone (even me) has been at it for sand, would like to put a river in or something pretty instead of the cobble/gravel/exposed coal thing it has going on atm

Rad, I took a 90degree turn towards out substation on the tunnel. I figure where you ended it would be a good place for the main station, now doing the line to our sub-station.

Means we don't have to build main one on water :P I'm juggling time between that and wordpress theme for site atm. Shouldn't be too much longer. My poor diamond pick(s) :(
 
got a idea for the last building at spawn.

Now i *think* cuboid allows designated pvp-enabled areas, if not, just ignore this.

The Arena

a fighting arena where you can fight to the death for:

loots - agree steaks and winner takes all.
revenge - settle a score
or just for fun

you just say 'fancy a scrap' or whatever and meet at the arena, with a viewing area so people can watch.

You could even do a league table.

Obviously there'd be rules - such as 'no lava' ;p and if someone welched on a bet they would just get blackballed and no one would want to fight them.

I think it's a good idea. Loved the arena in Stalker shadow of chernobyl.

Thoughts?
(obviously everywhere else would need to remai pvp disabled)
 
or if you didn't want to fight you could have a building competition. You both get exact same amount of material and you have to build something fast. Vote on best build and loser gets his building TNT'd by victor. heh.

Then we TNT winners anyway for next battle.
 
spleef? i don't know what that is.

just thought it'd be a good way for people to win loot or challenge someone to a dual for whatever reason (sadly without the option of slapping them in the face with a glove :( ) and take a break from the mining and the building and punch people instead, but instead of calling em Slappers like in Goldeneye 64, we could call it fisting LOL

Anyway. spawn room is under way. wanna do the rules on boards on one of the glass windows opposite the (currently empty) chests (which i will try to fill).

are all the rules to be placed? as the rule about being an ocuk member for x weeks and have y posts is a moot point if the player is in the spawn room...?

p.s.

trinsanity got trapped inside the water window, which was oops. maybe move the spawn into the actual spawn room now? i have only minor lighting modifications to make to it now, the structure is staying as is (so no getting trapped in the floor, yay!)
 
I might be on a bit later to do some more work on the library and gallery. I've put the windows in for now.

Just in-game rules, you can assume that they have already been accepted onto the server.

Set up a chest or two as well, with some stone tools :)

^^^^^^ Sever logs above when the buggy beta game crashed not the server.
Posted the above to save some players doubting the new server admin when he's asked if it was the server that crashed.
I have restarted the server, windle the server will not let you do a world save 1st as the server is still running but the game has crashed so it can't save, you have to just close your eyes & press the restart button.
You may have a roll back & lost some work/items theres is nothing that your admin can do about this, welcome to beta.
