OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Some time when anyone gets chancve and I'm on, can I get some help optimizing my spawner, it's finished, about 9 floors, but It's not efficient I think due to the location of the collection point and wonder if anyone can help me fix it?

I suspect the file size may be coming into play, it's absolutely mahoosive!

Edit: Seriously, who the hell did the absolutely massive explored walk cos I'm going to smack you upside the head

Congratulations, you've single handedly made the carto pretty much unusable

Nah it's unlimited file size but the ratio/length might be breaking it :p If I can open it I'll crop and re-upload.

EDIT: Well I've got it open but I can't save as a png as it's too big, anyone know of any other software?

How long would it take you to walk that far? When I joined the server I walked until I started seeing birch trees and set up camp there, but it was only like 20 minutes, plus I don't think it was in that direction as that would have needed me to make past those bigly circular buildings starting from spawn?

I think it took about nine hours. That's dedication for you!

It took me and Linda about 2 hours to get to our build site and that felt like quite an epic trek (far bottom right). Tefal, your bonkers :D.

Although I don't think he should take any blame for Cart not working, how was he to know? Just exploring...a LOT :). Might be useful giving the Cart mod creator this information.

I think the problem is the carto has been generated fine, but the image is so huge it's unusable.

Has anyone managed to get a cropped version yet? I really want to see how my buildings look now :(

Hi chaps. I have owned Minecaft for a few months now but not got round to playing it. Bought it on a whim then forgot I owned it.

Been watching some vids over the last couple of days and I know I am going to love playing this.

Is there some kind of noob guide so I can understand the game better?

Also, I would love to be put on the whitelist for the server. Not planning on doing much on it at the moment just want to have a lok about if that is ok. :)

PapaLazaru, if i get time tonight (that being you get whitelisted), i can take you through all the basics, set you up with a home etc if your up for it?

Sorry if seems like a silly question, but is it possible to edit the world map?

If possible, I think it would make sense to bring the settled area's that are "out on a limb" closer to the centre. Then just delete the unused sections along the route. IMO there is almost no chance that those corridoors will see any actual use and those settled area' don't need to be brought so close if the owner wants to maintain their hermit status :p

Yes, that would make sense. I'm I'm too far out I don't mind coming a couple of thousand blocks in. Maybe in the future there should be a limit on how far out one can explore. 10,000 blocks or something.

I'll vouch for shortcakes, he has been playing online with me and iamtakeo for many years, iamtakeo will also vouch soon as I only have a two posts here, but I'm on whitelist. Thanks!

Should perhaps put some Guacamole style signs up saying do not pass beyond this line, in a big square periphery around where you want people to keep inside. Or just wait until the Cartog bloke updates his program to make it export multiple separate images you can mosaic them yourself as you see fit.
