The cave question is a good one, I have a big mine below my property, which is well away from any other builds yet I have come accross other peoples tunnels below my property. You cant simply mine down and then expand in every direction and claim a massive chunk for your mine 200- 400 blocks wide as you might be cutting across other people's areas.

I agree. I have mined directly below my main residence and have tried to go down and not out. This is a little difficult as you can become a little disorientated. I have accidentally dug into at least one other mine. It may have been two but I cannot be sure. I have just blocked the hole back up with cobblestone so I know where they are.

Totally agree mate, the situation with the mines is totally out in the open and needs some sort or reassessment.

Those could be the mines that you, me, Nick and Andy were poking around with TNT. That cave system is much more extensive than I thought - I put out a straight mine in what I thought was the opposite direction and drilled straight through 3 massive explored sections. It's like circular swiss chess down there :p. I even linked a ladder down to it from the pantheon with out digging anything new.

imagine digging couple blocks down from where your building then falling into someone elses cave hole! yeah it might be lolz, but frustrating at the same time. Maybe there should be a radius of how far people can dig out from there base, So you can still dig down and have loads of caverns but not too far across.

Can people PLEASE make sure the outside of their buildings is well lit (i.e. the roof) mobs keep spawning on there and dropping down into the town :(

i.e. this is obviously not well lit enough

My personal view is that caves are open game. If somebody finds a good one then it's up to them to mine it out, you can't claim ores in specific areas. If somebody has made there own corridor mine then fair enough, leave it alone. But caves are part of the open world and are open to anybody.

maybe you folks in the new town should slate your roofs with half stone, half a block of it (not 2 on top of each other that doesn't work) stops mobs spawning.

lol its a bit on the...umm..big side. I think rule #2 applies here:

2. Players are expected to use COMMON SENSE when playing! This includes not building right next to somebody's building without asking, building something massive and dwarfing someone else's building without asking, generally peeing off other players. If I have to get involved in player disputes, my decision is final and if both players can't use their common sense it's likely that both parties will be suspended!

To save having to demolish and rebuild the tower, can the owner (sorry i forgot whos plot it was) choose a location for the tower that isnt so close to the town centre and I'll ask Rad to move it all in one go.

For everyone else please remember guys, keep a sensible limit on the height of any buildings you build in or around towns and built up areas :)
