To be fair Gars, that's rubbish. This is not our server, this is your server. Set up by you at your own decision. You and Windle are the admins and the server admin when it comes to this kind of thing is poor. It is not the players' responsibility to sort this out. The bbhere command is indeed in place but it gives little useful information. The map is huge and it's virtually impossible to keep an eye out for griefers.
What we can do as players is give you the /getpos and if every move is logged, as you say, it should be easy for you to find out who did the griefing. Apart from that there's nothing we can do apart from chance upon someone doing damage.
