I was stating that I feel the same when I read posts sorry if you took it so personal :(
Puting you on ignore is not going to help this discussion.

I would say the best was forward is to charge a small fee to play on the server & any profit be given to a charity.

It would cut the problem down but will still not remove it as £1 a month that's still nothing for someone who enjoys doing such things

Why should I look at the files? Who is server admin here? Windle? Then why doesn't he check?

However, for the sake of argument and to fan the flames I'm more than happy to look at the files in principle - but I won't necessarily be able to understand them. If it's simple enough I'll give it a go, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to make head or tail of them since my knowledge of code is basic at best.

I'm not saying anyone can catch the griefers as they grief, but if we know the coordinates then the admins or mods can look at the files themselves and suspend or ban as applicable.

How hard is that?
 
Is the server back up?

I'm ill and can't sleep. (I'm not fully awake to be honest)

I've read through the recent posts and it's a bit confusing and annoying. I respect the job the admins do, and when I get some money together as of my next big pay day (waiting on a lot of tax back) I'll donate to help the server out.

Sounds good in principle but I don't know if it would work.

It's annoying about the bbhere thing if it doesn't record iron or lava. A paid server would hopefully eradicate some of the griefing issues.

Nah, any news on the server? What's wrong with it? It's being fairly unstable recently, I've thought it might be stress but I'm not sure.

Anyway, as I said, as soon as I've got some money (I'm skint and work part time) I'll donate some :)
 
I'd pay if needs be.

As for your New World theory Tummy, who knows what'll happen before the full release. We may have to at some point as we did when Notch switched MC over to beta.
 
I think if they're are any major updates we should. I found the moving to new area's a bit daft personally, I do understand that people have put a lot of time and effort in to their buildings though.

Windle pays say £20 a month out of his own pocket to pay for the server so you can play on it for free.
he restarts the server, he adds players to the whitelist and more, do you not think he does enough.
This is not windles job managing a minecraft server he does it so he can play minecraft online & you can have a server to play on.

because someone is doing damage to others work & you don't like it ?

If it comes down to starting a new world, the LinkTart server is ready and waiting. It could easily deal with running something the size of the OcUK MC server.
