If that weather forecast is accurate then Saturday's certainly looking good for the meet up.

Fortuitously tescos in Towcester is exactly half way from my house to Hinckley so I can stop there for a break if I feel the need. Us older people need our regular toilet breaks ;)

Don't worry - my arse is ruined after 45minutes of riding so I will be stopping often too :D

If there is another meet around July / August (providing I pass and have a bike by then) then I will tag along. You could put me in a sub category of New Lost and Slow:p
 
Well if XCWeather is right for next weekend both days would be fine with Sunday being slightly better with the sun plus it has an hours extra daylight due to the clocks going forward Saturday night. Also if we did the Sunday Mr 69 can come.

We plan on meeting at the Longshoot & having a little meet & greet for everybody, Then we will potter up to imo the Best bike road in England about 5 mins away at legal speed limit, I will stop in this pub at the start of "The Road" with any others that don't want to do "The Road" Then you Fast boys can go & play as the road ends up at a big roundabout so you can come straight back down "The Road" to me/us.
Then we can potter into Hinckley to the Triumph factory & on up to Mallory.

Saturday is a go, just got a call from the workshop manager (also the team manager for Moto Rapido's BSB team), who is personally working on my bike to get the fuelling sorted, and a few other minor issues.

He said the bike is running as sweet as possible, he has to take it out for one more test ride today and will let me know when I can pick it up tonight.

He is treating me like royalty due to taking the bike back for the 2nd time. My first line as I met him "I paid 10 grand for this girl, yet I still prefer riding my 748 due to the fuelling issues". To which he looked at me and agreed that coming back the second time should not have been needed and he is both dissapointed in him self and in his team.

I was quoted 2 weeks minimum for a turn around o Friday last week, but when I spoke to him this morning, he told me he had placed the bike at the front of the queue.

I am hoping it will be sorted this time. As a 3rd visit won't be a nice visit from me.
 
Looks like I'll miss this one then.

Unless you guys end up anywhere near Matlock or the Cat & Fiddle, in which case I may be able to catch up later on :)
 
Just noticed something, I am very skint... Anyone mind doing a round up of the mileage in total from Reading and back?

Need to see if I have enough for petrol (not looking like it!). Forgot this was the weekend before payday lol.

We're looking at Approx 115miles each way from Reading (obviously depends which way we take, but that is the quickest route according to Google...) and then the run whilst we are in Hinkley on top of that.

I would guess you will be looking at approx 300 miles for the day in your case Agnes. What's that... 5 tanks of fuel? :D

Just to confirm.. is this the correct McDonalds that we are meeting at?

Oh dear god... Yes, I will need to source £40 from a mate haha. Seriously skint this month after returning from India.

And yes, that's the maccy's :)

I'm off to there tonight with a mate in his new Suburu STi (550bhp!!!) for a jap car meet. Usual antics as usual.
