OcUK Motorbike Meet 2012 *Interest and ideas*

I'm not convinced it's going to be warm enough for leathers. Bit windy this afternoon which made things a bit chilly. I'll probably turn up in warm comfy day-glo commuter-wear.
 
Looks like a good weekend was chosen, albeit (I love that word for some reason) fortuitously.

Hopefully there won't be too many of you who are young enough to be my kids :D
 
Yep, my self (Chris) and my newly found other half (Ivana) will be there tomorrow bright and early :)

Got the bike back from Moto Rapido last night, fuelling is perfect now, front lifts like a feather! Gorgeous!

Also, they noticed, unlike my dim self for not checking. The front sprocket is a 14 toother, which is causing the low rev clunkiness. So next weekend will up that to standard 15. Should make town riding much more bareable.

I'm having second thoughts as the distance is just to far. :D

Also I can't find my way there. :D


I'll be out again today for a ride out & then back for a bit of polishing so that I'm turned out well for the morrow. :cool:

Local weather report - Bit misty but dry & warm & easily nice enough for a ride out in leathers. :)

Yep still going, ive charged my TomTom Rider, and i may clean my bike if i aint got work today.

How far is it for everyone, for me its 146miles so im guessing thats a couple hours ride.
 
Im still attending.. Will be leaving around 9am ish as i dont know my way properly :P. If anybodys near Loughborough i can catch up with and tag along.
 
My bikes in getting serviced today, first service after the initial running in one so should all be fine. Just waiting for the call to say it's all fine then I should be able to come along for tomorrow :D

One of the guys at the shop wants me to test ride the new Nuda 900r 2012 they have in as a demo bike, looked pretty cool in the flesh so I might take him up on it.

Im good to go, gave the bike a quick clean last night and had a quick look at where to mount the camera, bought a HedCam last weekend so will hopefully get some decent footage.

better give the ol'girl a clean tonight then... I've still not srubbed my new tyres in properly yet.. i'm sure they will be by the end of tomorrow though :D
 
I'm still game. The Goose ran perfectly last weekend (read: no important parts fell off), unfortunately my sat nav's battery has given up the ghost so I'll probably get lost en route.
 
Just plotted the route from my place on the satnav. It looks like it'll take me over an hour to get there. Which means I'd have to have been and collected the bike from the dealer and returned back to my place before 10:30am. I think I may have to sit this one out :(

Guess this is a test run for future large meets though, so next time will be even better :D

I am at our london office working on the new checkpoint firewall at the moment, not gone very well, was hoping to be home by now to clean the bike, but doesn't look like it's going to happen.

But hopefully have a hour or 2 of light so I can give her a clean later :D
 
Shame my 1 piece hasnt arrived so I can wear it on my road beast...

I also have a GoPro that I can bring, but I don't want to incriminate myself or others if we do decide to get a move on.
