It finally twigged, I got some inspiration and then took my picture before I went to work. May change it, for something better, but for now, I am keeping it!

Man I'm loving it. Seriously cool car as well. Apparently Porsche engines can be bolted into the VW Beetle and they go like hot snot

As for the comp I still can't think of an entry

Any suggestions?

Eak! My first entry ever!

Sadly, I have a dying Canon IXUS V3 which constantly E18's on me

I would have borrowed Pickers Canon 350D but I don't think he would have been best pleased with me jumping around at a festival with it!

I did my best with what I've got though!

OK went to Belfast Dock area and got a pic of the infamous H&W cranes. These cranes were constructed by the German engineering firm Krupp, with Goliath being completed in 1969 and Samson in 1974. Goliath stands 96m tall, while Samson is taller at 106m. :eek:

couldn't get close enough to show off their scale tho

A Porsche engine in a VW Beetle! Wow, might make a nice little project when my Spitfire is done and in fully working condition!

As for ideas, my other attempts at the theme were of yellow signs on various gates and signposts in and around town.

Yes, even though. Your entry will be disqualified if you don't change it before the comp closes.

OK thanks. Just re Read the rules. Therefore I would need one colour of border, either the white or the red/rust colour.? Thanks

EDIT I have put a single colour border. Is that image therefore legal now?

Entered. I worked out how to say "Yellow" without selectively colouring something yellow

I should get 10/10 for theme points. It does say "Yellow".

, I was going to do a shot of the yellow pages in b&w my self

,not in quite in that style tho, was going to do a stack of them as my mum has loads of them. Back to the drawing board

I too was going down this line with a B&W shot of very common yellow items... banan's lemons etc

Oh well back to the drawing board.

Well, after having to have 2 rethinks due to the yellow pages and water lillies already being entered just as i was about to i have finally come up with something im quite pleased with.

some nice shots this round, think it may well be a tough call for the judges!
