Anyone know if those specs are correct for the power requirements? They both say "600W or greater PSU required" but the ASUS website seems to suggest the Matrix has a higher requirement.

I only have a 600W PSU so was wanting to avoid one of the more power hungry cards.

They always exaggerate psi requirements tbh. A good 600w will be heaps.

I was waiting for the new 300 cards but I only use 1920 x 1080. So I thought I would go for the matrix card.

They have added other 290x's to the promo as well.

dont think i will see a difference between my 780 and the R9 290X 8GB @ 1440p
I really want another card now. but dont think this cheap card will be any better then mine.

I've considered this myself. It would indeed be awesome.. for a few months until the 390X is released and you can get similar performance on a single card.

I don't think the 390x will have similar performance to 2x290x's, that's a lot to ask for. But we can hope! There is also the 395x2
