OCUK Rolling Road 11 - Saturday March 19th 2011 - Eurospec, Guildford - Pictures, graphs, discussion

Nice result Gibbo,

Goes to show the difference that reducing the intake temperature makes.

I'd be interested to see the difference in the wheel BHP between the 2 latest runs at powerstation. Also out of interest what were your wheel/fly rating and AT/IT at the Eurospec day?

Great result gibbo. Anything else being done that could aid power?

Forge BOV. :)

As the stocks tend to leak around these power levels.

Rest is just stuff that will keep engine performance and bling blinb. :)

A remap would now yield around 430BHP / 430lb/ft but thats risky, Id rather stick to stock map as it keeps things in-line and is covered under warranty.

Are they going to bother putting it back on the rollers after the BOV? Really shows how restricted these cars are as standard!

I have told them they must as I've said if the BOV in anyway alters how my car drives or messes with the fuelling it shall be ripped right back off.

They ensure me it shall be re-circ, hold boost better and sound better, if it does as they say, then happy days. :)

Do you have anything to justify that? Just it's unusual for an OEM to quote it on anything other than the highest octane the engine can improve power for.

No I was wrong: I checked and the manual doesn't specify a lower figure for lower octane, just refers to the fact that power and fuel economy will drop if you go to the lower grades of fuel than the engine is designed for (98). You're right, it's probably the same approach by other manufacturers.
