OCUK Rolling Road Day 11 @ Eurospec (Guildford) - Sat 19th March 2011

When you say drive within your limits and also the limits of your car, I think everyone needs to remember this. For example me and MrSix had a rather embarrassing "nudge" as his brakes locked up and he shunted the back of my 350z as I'd already come to a halt (thank you Brembo's!). All it took was a small humpback bridge and 20-30mph on a dry day and he's a capable driver. Accidents happen, so as long as people don't race each other, I'm happy with the route.

Yep, this is important on any 'hoon', these roads aren't massively treacherous, it's not like we're doing a lap of the Nurburgring. The only issue is people might get split up if there's that many cars, there's some traffic lights on the bridge leading to said roads, I'm not sure how long they stay green for.

Sorry, I forgot - What was the number limit for runners? Was it 20 or 25? Insurance renewal has come in cheaper than I expected so I'll be attending :).

Well I finish my job next Friday so should have plenty of time to do more work on the car for this.

And look for another job I mean :D:D

Route looks good Howard, but I'm also a little concerned about some people and their driving, it does lead to showing off. But as long as people do drive within their limits and don't act like tools then it should be fine, just keep your distances people, there are some massive gaps between the performance of the cars coming along, both braking and acceleration!

I know what you're saying. I think most people are fairly level-headed though... Everyone just needs to be aware, and be sensible. It's not that different to the roads we've driven on southern meets etc. They're fun if you don't go mad, it'll give your car a bit of a workout and it's rewarding to slip through the bends with all the right technique. I just hope we don't get held up by a dawdler, there's nowhere to overtake. but we can just turn around in a layby and do it again :D

There isn't potential for silly speeds really, apart from maybe the long straight NSL road leading up to the industrial estate :D

Frankly, people trying to show off will lead to accidents and mishaps regardless of the roads, you don't need to be on a road that attracts that sort of behaviour for it to happen.

If people are this concerned about safety I suggest that you all let me go in front in order to keep speeds down to a sensible level :D.

How long would it take to run 25 cars?

If we start the first one at 9:00, when would we be finished with the RR?

Just watched some vids of those Pirbright bends, doesn't look too bad at all, in fact they look like a lot of fun
