OcUK Rolling Road Day 16 @ PowerStation (Tewksbury) - Saturday November 16th 2013

What tyres are on it? Don't think mine spun up and I have no tread. :) What boost is it running?

Don't know much about Scoob's, but I love the noise at part throttle.

This was at at different dyno (RCM) last week. It doesn't spin up at Powerstation. RE070s at Powerstation, Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas at RCM.

Runs 1.5bar peak. ECU can't see more than 1.55bar properly. Needs either an aftermarket boost controller, aftermarket ECU or a Group N rally patch to run more safely.

Looking over my runs at Powerstation the 2nd run did actually run boost properly and made torque again after I found a pipe slightly off. First run it took ages to get on boost hence peak torque so high. Still.. not best pleased, but just means I'll find an excuse to play with it some more ;)

Cheers, you can thank Howard for letting me use his shotgun mic otherwise you wouldn't have heard much other than KRRCHHBZZZZZ etc

Interesting that we are making roughly the same power out of a 2 litre 4 pot yet I need 1.75 bar to get it. I think my downpipe and 2.75" decat are restricting it a lot, I think if I change them the power will go to over 400. But as I said on the day, to make this change would be £500 or so and I highly doubt I'd notice the difference on the road. Then there's the additional noise the large bore would make.

Completely different engine and turbo configurations though. Pretty sure the standard turbo on the Evo 9 is actually pretty sizable in comparison to the stock STi turbos. You probably run high boost low down for the torque and tail it off. The Evos tend to be a lot more responsive to get on boost, mainly due to the exhaust manifold being less than quarter the length of the Impreza equivalent :D

The tub on the IX is insanely good, unless you are wanting to run over 450 bhp, it's the one to go for. That's why I get the surge, because it's producing more boost than the engine can consume (till over 4k rpm). I should really get it mapped out but I don't bother caning it till it's over 4k rpm so doesn't affect me all that much.

Hes had loads of advice about the issue but it's normal on MLR so therefore is not a problem

I know it's a problem. I know it can be mapped out, but I just haven't had the time to get it done, and till then, I am not WOT in the RPM range it does surge.

S2000 looks proper, like it.

Evo stock turbos are pretty much the best for a 2l imo. Only a td05-16g but with fancy internals, a big twin scroll hot side. Can make 400hp and still has great response, not mega expensive either. I was keen to have one on my S15 but I'm informed it simply ain't going to fit :(

Who's was the yellow S2000 anyway? looks nice. I guess it didnt run?

Dont think they were a member here, but it was indeed lovely, very nice looking with plenty of presence.

A white S2000 ran and it made 242BHP which I think is pretty bang on stock power is it not for them, as I can't remember from mine if they are 240BHP or 250PS?
