OcUK Rolling Road Day 20 @ Ti Motorsport (Stoke) - Saturday 29th October 2016

Food Venue (Hungry Horse)

Carsington Drive,
Tunstall,
Staffordshire,
ST6 5GA,
GB

Average food, but edible and pricing is good, plus its a brand new pub so clean with adequate parking.

The reason I have chosen this is due to a good mix of surrounding roads:

Peacock Hay / Lowlands Road is an excellent and very fast stretch of NS road which is generally quiet, but be careful the corners are bumpy and you need to make sure you keep to your side of the road as sometimes heavy goods vehicles will be taking up the full width on opposite side, so please stay safe.

Then there is Reginal Michelin way, dual carriage ways (40mph) with great roundabouts to play one, huge roundabouts so any DK's can show of their skills, but again respect other road users and be safe. Also sometimes camera van parks.

There is also a McDonalds and KFC on these roads for those who maybe don't want a restaurant sit down meal. Access to A500 for return trip home is also very close.

The time to get here from the dyno location is 20-30 minutes dependent on traffic.

Can I assume everyone will be coming along for Food, those coming can you just reply to say if your coming along to the Hungry Horse or not as I shall do the right thing and let them know before hand. :)

I also checked out there car park, its big so as long as the pub is not particular packed there should be plenty of room, I say if we aim to get there for 14:00-16:00 we should avoid any kind of rush.

Will let you know tomorrow evening, need to check as I'm attending with a couple of non forum members

I'll probably nip down to the dyno if I finish hockey at a reasonable time.
If not I'll head over to the pub.
I'll give you a call Gibbo and find out where you guys are.

Its ok bring some rattle cans and we can all do it for you, free of charge. :D

That's mostly the reason it's going in :D Previous owner thought he could spray a car himself. Orange peel and runs all over the shop. Plus I want to return it to the original Toyota Black Metallic and not the Ford Panther Black it is currently as well as get a few *ahem* bits of '90s Jap rice added on.

WEIGH YOUR CAR

Spoke with Ti Motorsport tonight. If anyone wants there car weighing along with cross weights they will do this for you. If you are running on the dyno its £5, if your not doing a power run its £10.

Weigh ins:
1. Gibbo - Stang & M3
2. Frozennova - MX5
3. Kosta - WRX Sti
4. Scaza - MX5
5. WarrantyVoid - TT RS
6. Kaiwos - MR2
7.
8.
9.
10.

Definitely up for some corner weighting if I get there, still working on the logistics atm. Due to a combination of factors it looks like I might be trailering which feels a bit like overkill but needs must

If anyone else is planning to do corner weights then I'd advise making sure in advance that you can easily disconnect anti-roll bars (no seized bolts or anything) as proper corner weighting should be done with them disconnected.

I'll make do with whatever weights I get then, I don't have time to spend a few hours loosening the inevitably seized bolts for my ARBs F/R and L/R weight differences is my main interest

Doubt I'll come to the pub as I'll have other bits to do I can only get done on my time off at weekends but I'll be @ the RR for a good while :)

My clutch release bearing has started to get a bit noisy after a pounding this weekend but hopefully won't give issue.

I think I'll go for a weigh in as well, it'd be interesting to see what the car weighs in its fairly standard form.
Don't really think there's much to remove from it to give it a diet either!
