You need to find a specialist Jap garage, they will be able to point you in the direction of a friendly MOT centre that will pass you.

Any place that fits sports exhausts should be able to MOT you and will likely turn a blind eye to the emissions readings.
 
those suggestions would be illegal ;)
and with MOT tests becoming electronic, 'friendly' stations will become less and less, as the results from tests are uploaded centrally

not that anyone here would suggest illegal activity
 
I don't know if the running order has been setup yet but I could do with going on a bit later as some surgery will be taking place before the car gets put on the RR :p

I had planned to goto a hooky mot garage, but the 3 i know of have all gone onto computers for the emmissions :mad:

I wouldnt mind but it's emmissions FFS, the day it passes the cat is coming off anyway, so the emmisions will be sky high again :o
 
Dale, Have you reset the ECU since changing the LAMBDA? If not do so then go for a drive around not only cruising at 30 but also right up to the red line. If its a learning ecu it should set the emissions up after that.

Yeah I reset the ECU, but it's not a learning one :( and I went for a good drive beforehand.

The lambda was one reccomended by a guy on IMOC :rolleyes: (so not a toyota one) , So I've just ordered a Genuine toyota one for £140 :( ... comes saturday
 
Honestly, like has been said above, go and find somewhere that fits performance bits and ask them to take it for an MOT for you. Where in the country are you? If you are in/around Manchester, I know where you could have it done tommorrow!
 
Ben, catch me on MSN to arrange a Michael Wood service meet. I can do some print outs from auto route no problem.

I think acidhell was meeting with us aswell as long as he can fix his cinq up.

We did agree 8:45 as acidhell is working. If he isnt able to make it then earlier is possible. However, currently we stand at 8:45.
 
sorry guys I wont be able to make it, my dads been in hospital for the past 4 weeks with liver problems now with suspected cancer :(.
As much as I'd love to come I'm going to stay with my family for my bday.

Bit of bad news from me, I can't get insurance on my car for under £2600. I can't afford that so I'm uninsured at the minute. I don't know why it's went up almost £1000 but that's the way it goes. I'll hopefully get something cheap today but I dunno.
So for the minute count me out, I'll try my best to get something sorted :(

Weather is a go by the look of it! Got this afternoon off to fettle with the car, and adjust a few things. then a nice early start for me.
I aim to be at Michael Wood services around the 08:15 mark.
(just hope my little baby car is ok)

just got back from mine.. Only 8:15hrs though

Now I just have to stay up untill my cable comes bllluugghhh.. I hope it aint 5pm..
