fact is NVidia's 2 year old 1080ti was a beast of a card, and it can still beat navi.
1080Ti was almost a mistake on nVidia's part, such a good card and pricing (non-mining at least). We got spoilt

But did Steve from GamersNexus say, "this is actually one of the worst stock coolers we have ever worked with". He did with the 5700XT cooler
Can we not just agree that blower coolers are terrible compared to a good AIB. That is the reality whether it's Nvidia or AMD. AMD's do tend to be worse than Nvidia's but both sides blowers are usually not ideal. People usually only get blowers because they are what's available at launch or for water.
RDNA shows massive improvements over GCN in games that GCN traditionally fell far behind in.
Am more than impressed with the results of Navi 5700 XT
I'm certainly interested in a possible 64CU version with configurable RT/Raster cores if the chatter is true

Yeah, I was more than pleased when I saw the prices. Makes a nice changed compared to them just changing teh dollar sign to a pounds sterling on the msrp.Am more than impressed with the results of Navi 5700 XT just need to wait for the AIB now. Hopefully its not a long wait and hoping pricing isn't two bad either £380 for Ref I be happy paying £430 its less than what I paid for VEGA 64 at £470
I bought the ref VEGA 64 because at the time I had the courage to try and custom water cool lol that didn't happen I even bought a water block unused sitting there wasted £100. Might try and sell them both on together haa
Apparently the VII overclocks extremely well with good cooling. So the Navi's might also, being on 7nm.Yeah, I was more than pleased when I saw the prices. Makes a nice changed compared to them just changing teh dollar sign to a pounds sterling on the msrp.
OCing and better cooled parts will put Navi 10 far closer to a 2070s and VII.
From what I have been reading, AMD have opened up the boost system to let it hit clocks that even exceed teh rated boost, dependent on power, cooling and silicon lottery.Apparently the VII overclocks extremely well with good cooling. So the Navi's might also, being on 7nm.

Depend what you refer as Nvidia and AMD pricing;I don't think there is an outcry about performance, just the cooler and the price. There is no point in calling the Nvidia price crap and then calling the AMD price ok?
So from the reviews I've read and watched I find myself agreeing with Steve from gamers nexus "its fine, don't buy one with the stock cooler!"
