OcUK Ryzen 9 3950X review thread

US ? they may well have........................but absolutely will not be £724 by the time you have it delivered :p
I has my binned 2700x from usa came out SAME price as in store with shipping and tax. BUT now pound is weaker :(

Then again just watch they go 100-200 over RRP due to no stock everywhere.

Should be, didn't get anything it seems, unless is a physical code that comes with shipping
Seen a few posts from people that bought direct from amd have got the games promo and xbox pass sent in emails.ill not play any of the games but if I sell the codes it will be a few quid off the price

80th apparently. Have cancelled.
i feel for you mate i really do.i think in 20 in the que now with all the cancellations that have occured.amd have good products now for the first time in years but are plagued with yield issues and the fact that the chiplets are being useed in tr4 and eypc skus.all thses chips will be highly binned and its obvious looking at the world wide situation regarding stock that this is whats happening.shame really as amd said in sept that 3950x was being delayed to avoid the supply issues with the 3900x happening with the 3950x and wanted customers to be able to actually get there hands on the skus

Indeed as per Gibbo's earlier posts it actually is a lot worse than the 3900x release. Some shops didn't even put it up for sale yet. It is a big shame I think the fact that chiplets can be used higher in TR4 and Epyc hurt the 3900x and 3950x a lot.

I am a bit confused, yesterday when i tried to buy this and got the stupid bank CC declining the transaction, i got an email from overclockers one hour later that they got my order? What is true? I take it i need to contact customer care?

yea they finally have competitive skus but ultimately is the 3950x going to be remembered as a failure due to yeild issues ?.its all and good having really good products but if people cant get there hands on the skus then whats the point ?

Some shops, but if you head over to a big PC supplier you can configure a 3950X and get it delivered well before Christmas, so it looks like AMD would rather supply the OEM market, which seems like a sensible move when you are looking for market share. :)

yea just ring customer services .when i ordered it was exactly 14.00.00 but id say by the time my bank processed the transaaction im in around 20 in the que.it takes ocuk 15 mins to verify payment though i checked my internet banking and it was showing as a future payment so all was good my end

This is absolutely true, I've source some grey tray stock above MSRP, a whole 30 units on tray. It is rather annoying actually because it is obvious the OEM market does not need all the stock hence it appearing in grey channels for purchase by itself.

3960X were expecting 52 units by end of week, we are also some new Asus threadripper motherboards in stock this week also.

8 Pack has been testing a selection of 3960X to get better results.
Single - Dual core boost: 4.5-4.6GHz sustained under load
All Core boost: 4.3GHz under load
256G RAM Install: 3200MHz stable using the 3200MHz Corsair 2x32G Vengeance Pro dual kits
128G RAM Install: 3600MHz stable using the 3600MHz 8 Pack 4x16G quad kits

8 Pack is basically very impressed by 3960X.
