New suicide run on my chip :D

Managed to run SuperP1 1m and Cinebench 64bit, temps about 45c at idle so not bad. Back down to a nice and comfy 4.5ghz now at 1.29vcore

Well, its been over 10 days of using my 2600k at 5ghz, and everything is still running sweetly. Got the vcore down a notch to 1.432 at load, and its been doing a stress test in one form or another for over a week with out a hiccup.

Temps are good too and I've just finished building a shroud/enclosure for my rad, and temps are down a bit since that last screenie I posted. I think the rumours of the max vcore being circa 1.35v are false, but don't hold me to that :)

Do I go higher. Hmmmmmmmmm

HT on or off does not really make much difference to SB when you overclock. The practice of turning HT off when trying to push the overclock is a factor with Gulftown and other 1136 socket CPU's.

Temperatures would be lower though would they not with hyperthreading off?

Personally I did not notice anything significant. I found that lowering my PLL brought about a decrease in temperatures. But with HT as I said I did not notice any gains. But you could be right Liquid - good point.

Please may I join?

Have managed 4.9GHz 1hr prime stable at 1.37v.
SuperPi at 5.1GHz took 1.41v
SuperPi at 5.2GHz took 1.45v

Think I will quit here as 5.3GHz will need some high volts.
