Well I "only" got to 5Ghz (only tried 5 for now!)

Bit of an error on my part in getting there though :)

I was trying to stabalise my 4.6 and changed a couple of settings. In the middle I thought what the hell, lets try 5, so I up the voltage to 1.42....

yes, thats right in image its showing 1.65 :) what I actually did was put the voltage of my RAM to 1.42 and the CPU was on auto voltage :-)

oh well, it ran, worked and then set back to 4.6 @ 1.37v to see if it stabalises overnight!

It is yes but as with much in life you get what you pay for. Sure SB CPUs run cooler than the older i5/i7s but people are still finding themselves limited by their cooling when heading to and above 5GHz.

Surprised at your Super_Pi speed. Mine at 4.8 gets the million in 7.813.

i5 2500k at 5.1, had to go to 1.45 on cpu though.

Its been running happily at 4.7 at 1.325, 16 hours a day, for the last few weeks.

Would boot into windows at 5.2, but then BSOD, i don't know if i want to up the cpu voltage any more though ?

can anyone tell me if it would help if i changed any of the following :-
DRAM 1.5
VCCSA 0.925 (on auto at the mo)
VCCIO 1.053 (on auto at the mo)
CPU PLL 1.8
PCH 1.050
