Okey Dokey, She's pretty stable(ish) now..... Sub 7's here I come. Weird thing is that I get a quicker Pi under 32Bit as opposed to 64 ?????

Anyways, time to drop them there volts ! LOL
Edit : Ok, enoughs enuf !!! Too many volts -

Let me in please -

Fantastic board and a most enjoyable if dangerous thread...I love a healthy disdain for technology....

Peace

nice one i had to put nearly 1.6v into mine to get that clock speed, and i was bricking myself at that.:D

LoL I'd be the same mate.
A lot of folks seem to be doing suicide runs at 1.6v+ without probs but I cant pull the trigger on that kind of voltage.
Saw one guy kill his @ 1.66v but he said it was a long time at that voltage before it died.

Can I have a re-entry please?

Have changed the ASUS Pro for a UD7. Had a nightmare with the UD7 untill I found out that the F3 bios is unstable. Now on the F3h and the board is working like a dream.
Still trying for 5.6Ghz but its getting more difficult now !

For 5.6 you are going to need more volts on the UD7 and cooling to keep your CPU safe.

Hi 1Day,
Have tried 1.58v at 5.6Ghz but it failed to boot and I ended up doing a cmos clear. Bit reluctant to go as high as 1.6v, but then for a quick superpi run....?
The temptation is hard to resist lol

Cooling is a noctua NH-D14 and the cpu hits 80C max at 5Ghz and 1.41v running prime. This is the highest speed Ive managed stable and 80c/1.4v is the limit for my stress testing.
