OCUK Sandy Bridge, SB-E and Ivy Bridge 5GHZ Club

HiVizMan,

The only time i tried increasing the BCLK was when i was at 5.3 & i could only get 100.4 BCLK to work.

I will try lowering the speed & upping the BCLK the next time i try, probably at the weekend.

Should i change any of these settings :-

LLC = Extreme

VRM Spread = 400

Phase Control = Extreme

Duty Control = Extreme

CPU Current Capability =120%

DRAM Voltage = 1.500v

VCCSA = 0.925v

VCCIO = 1.053

Ram 9-9-9-24-1t

thanks,
David

Nothing special, but comfortably in anyway. Got a bit of a weird chip here in that it will sit relatively stable at 51 mult on 1.45/extreme LLC, yet still needs 1.42 for 4.7GHz! Sick of searching for a good one, so just keeping this and running 24/7 on 4.8GHz at 1.44v. If it lasts until Ivy, then that's good enough for me.

OK, Managed to get a SuperPI score of 6.920 at 5417.7 MHz with BCLK at 100.3 at 1.66 volts. (first pic)

I also got a SuperPI score of 6.970 at 5428.5 MHz with BCLK at 100.5 at 1.66 volts, i thought it should have been lower than 6.920 as MHz was faster ????? (second pic)

I also tried upping the volts to 1.7 but couldn't get past the 'Starting Windows' logo when increasing the BCLK above 100.5 x 54 Multi or using a BCLK of 100.0 x 55 Multi.

Also the temp in the bios monitor was reading 97 deg !!!!!! so i don't think i can try any more until i get better cooling.

Just shaved a few digits off my old score.
better than nothing.

Congrats Oma - as to why one time would be quicker than the other. There is considerable variation between runs. Considerable is measured in 100's of seconds :D

It all depends which back ground service or application was using the same core. What I do is select which core I wish to associate with the Super Pi run. I use core 7 or 8 on my 2600K as core 1 and 2 are used most for the back ground services.

Well heres mine but its nothing special ATM:

Can't seem to get it any higher than 5ghz atm though, had it running at 5.1 the other day but cant seem to remember what settings I used
Tried 1.415 for 5.1 but cant get windows to boot....

A slight improvement for me, sub 7 secs. Seems the latest bioses from MSI are over protective and drop the multiplier, so went back to 1.7 for a bit of benchmarking.

Yes - 1.46 is enough for 24/7 stability with Gaming, Aida, 3DMark, PC Custom Bench, Cinebench and Music S/W so I run at this voltage.

Prime Blend needs 1.47 though ;)

above is a pic of me blending it flicks between 1.44v and 1.45v and varies between the two monitoring programmes.

do you have speed step enabled and c1e? or are you flat out at 1.46 and 5ghz all the time?

i have mine enabled, surfing and dreamweaver are not cpu intensive! ;)
