**OcUK Secret Santa 2011 - The unWrapUp!**

Finally got home after doing the family rounds, however no laptop at home for pics!

Thank you to my SS though. I got a beginners piano book (very thoughtful/well researched!), mince pies, bottle of port and a Thorntons chocolate Santa.

Some SS's appear to have been more than generous this year, and must have gone well over the suggested amounts!

Although this is great for those recipients, a lot of folk are having to tighten their belts this Christmas, and may perhaps not been able to spend as much as they would have liked, but nevetheless still wanted to participate.

I am just wondering that if this were to be repeated next yesr, a strict upper limit should be imposed, although I do accept that some senders are always going to be more than generous... food for thought anyway! :)

quite some irony there, you were quite quick to have a grumble yourself, you told your SS you were dissapointed you didnt get a card and that you were possably offended by something they sent you.
have a grumble? Perhaps you should re-read my post. 1) in no way was I serious. 2) I didn't keep banging on about it. 3) go chill yourself out and stop picking on things and people.

I suggest an overclockers mug ;) or, because of its inferior size, use it as a pen holder on your desk. Although I know you have your desk just so and it might mess up your fueng shui :p

Haha! I actually decided to use it as a pen holder in fact but there's little space on my desk so it goes on my shelving unit with the other stationery :D unfortunately the OcUK mug is too slim to fit one whole rich tea biscuit!!!

a strict upper limit should be imposed

Down with oppression!!:mad::p

yeah my mistake, obviously the :D 's and the :p 's lightened your comments enough to get your point accross without being too nasty iyo, we did get the point of your comments though.

On generosity, Hilly had been given the short straw last year so I took it on myself to give him a little extra.

Limits are fine, you can't hold a strict upper limit as some people might drop on a real bargain and then it could look as though they spent exorbitant amounts. Common sense simply needs to be followed and people have to understand that some SS's may fall behind schedule due to commitments or simply have no clue what to buy their SS target. Therefore a gift that looks a little short in thought is sent as a last minute guess or rush choice but not out of malice by the sender, simply circumstance. Following on from this some people might just simply get something they don't like. All these things are part of the nature of SS, and in general part of Christmas in general, the unpredictability is part of the fun.

Finally at a proper PC to upload my pics:
