[OcUK Staff Builds] rjkoneill's TJ07

RJ could i ask what size and brand them bolts are for the window?

i only ask as im looking for some for my haf window when i change the acrylic.. and you couldnt give a hint as to where you can get them could you (staying within the rules of course :D).

and what with dangerstat asking its price:D i would think getting on towards what mine cost minus screens f you have intel ssd and also if the water components are top grade (i havent got a clue on brands and watercooling equipment not my forte :D) oh and not forgetting case custom paint job?..

tech these days is ridiculas price wise i mean i bought a decent top grade system 4 years ago for around £15oo and this one i got now inc screens was over £3500 bearing in mind i had been buying parts and building it since march:( which is why i have doubts on the motherboard which RJ talked to me about in another thread but anyways thats progression for you.

i like the tubing you done...my brothers got same case and got same tubing but with wrap around coils but its not as neat as yours;)

i was advised (and bought some) plastic rivets which were intended for fans which i was told would work for the window
maby that helps

the bolts come with the window
they are button head m3 screws with an allen fitting

dont know exactly what they are called

ducky spud sent me a few allne bolts to fit my cpu block with, he also used some similar bolts to fit his motherboard/rads etc

perhaps he may know what they are called so you can search

sorry i cant be more help

final bits came today
the system is working well

well, its working very well :D

How have you fixed them like that? Are they brackets that came with the case, or separately? It would be nice not to have bays being filled with adaptors. It would be nice to show them off, though. :p

Edit: If you're putting the drives in RAID 0, will you still have TRIM support with W7?

yeah - i finally managed to source a side panel
after a few emails to Silverstone in Germany - a new one arrived [around 60euro]
Annika @ Silverstone helped me out and got the panel to me quickly

many have said that the TJ07 has specific panels that fit the individual case the panels ship with due to how it is made
looks like i was in luck as mine fits perfectly

planning a mod that involves changing the window so it is mounted on the inside of the case

Hi rjkoneill,

Loving the build mate. I have the windowed side panel too but I've since changed my mind and I'd prefer to have the window on the inside without screws and a much smaller cut out. You think I'll be able to get a non window panel from Silverstone?

It's rubbish about them not fitting too as they all do just some better than others but that's always what Silverstone have said to me in the past.

I wonder if they have eased off with this theory.

RoEy

P.S. I love how you mounted the SSD's mate. Gonna copy that one. :)

just email them directly - their german offices are very good - if you PM me via trust i will give you the email address of the rep i spoke with, she is very helpful and quick to respond. her english is good and you should be able to get what you need

Very very nice. I like it.

thanks man, appreciate it :)

Nice bit of kit! :) I like that mounting idea as well... :)

seems the mounting idea for the SSDs went down a treat
you guys do know they are only stuck on with velcro... right?
