still no reviews? thats a shame i actualy wanted to buy one of these i have my cash all ready to go
but im simply not willing to drop that much cash on something when i have no idea how it performs

atleast do some inhouse testing on AMD and intel
1 test on 1 AMD CPU doesnt really mean anything

I don't have any figures, but these have worked fine with our 4.2 and 4.4GHz overclocks. I'll do my best to try and get some results for you - though we've only built a handful of these into actual systems.

any results you can post would be highly appreciated :)

i have an i7 4770k overclocked to 4.5ghz on 1.25v
its a little bit hot for my liking on an h100i im looking for something to replace it

bit of a nightmare.

we sent the products for review. they got damaged in transit.

we sent a replacement. the review site we used had an issue with their reviewer. [namely, he wasnt bothering doing reviews]

the review samples took ages to be returned to us.

they were damaged on their return journey :o

then coolermaster made the eisberg end of life

----------------------------

in all, a total cluster**** of a situation. really about as far from what myself and the OCUK marketing department wanted, especially on a tech labs product.

coolermaster are now backing OcUK and we have exclusive production runs in place for the eisberg which means that we are able to offer the product properly again.

for the time being, I am not pushing for any reviews to be done, simply because I don't have the time to be chasing stuff like that.

Don't worry.

Most of the reviewers aren't scientific and accurate anyway

I am interested in the OcUk Tech Labs Fathom All In One 240mm but have a few questions especially as I have never done water cooling before.

- Will the coolant glow? I want red coolant but not sure if it will light up or not?
- I read on these forums about them leaking, is this still the case or should I not worry?
- How easy are they to install especially for someone who has never done water cooling?
- If it leaks are we covered? What if it leaks on parts I did not buy from OcUK?
- Does it come with instructions? I would be putting it into a Corsair 540.
- There is a lot of interest in this thread but lack of reviews on the product page?
- How effective would this be on a i7-4770k I plan to overclock?
- Is there more pictures anywhere of what the different coolants and colours look like?
- Would the standard radiator be enough or would I need the advanced one?

Sorry for all the questions especially if some seem silly like the coolant glowing up, Ijust need to make sure everything is alright or I am considering the Corsair H100i.

Thanks.

1. No idea, depends on the coolant you choose
2. Mine has never leaked, but has needed to be topped up once in 6 months odd
3. Very easy to install, just make sure you use the correct screws which come with it and instructions come with each individual part
4. No idea, ask customer services
5. All of the boxes etc are sent, so instructions from the pump and radiator are there, just have to open the boxes (which is of course not what I did :D)
6. Sorry I haven't posted a review ;) Problem is, only thing I have to compare it to is an air cooler which doesn't really compare at all... Can compare to an h100i when I get one in the new future.
7. Mine is very effective on my 8350, so Id assume it'll work well on your 4770k.
8. Cant help unless you want red
9. Standard radiator is fine for my modest-ish over clock of my 8350 :)

Not sure if this helps :D

Quick question about these.. If one was to leak in my system and in the event damaged multiple components, would OCUK be liable to replace those components as well?

It does help but you should have quoted my post so others know who you were talking to :D

This is what I mainly need to know and as I am doing my build now OcUK are out of stock on some things I want so I will have to buy elsewhere things like a Motherboard/Graphics Card so I need to know if they would cover parts that are not necessarily bought from here.

will you see a huge improvement from h100?

I also need to know this because I want the Fathom for performance+looks but if it does not cool much better can save a lot of money by getting the H100i :)

Done :D

People have said that it cools better, because it uses a better radiator and more coolant than is in an h100 but I have no idea if that is the case. The other thing is if you plan, or have the urge, later to expand your WC setup, you already have a radiator and some tubing, although from what I've heard you'll need a better pump to power more than a 240mm rad

That does sound good rather than a fully sealed unit, and I'm wondering if I did go with this whether to get the advanced radiator or not. I know you said standard would be fine but I wonder if anyone knows what difference between the standard and advanced is.

Cheers :)

Need someone from OcUK to help us all here to be honest..,

If you buy it with UV fluid and have UV lights in your case, it will glow.

It's not a common problem, and you shouldn't really worry. But as with everything that holds water, it can leak.

toon_mad said:

About the same as installing any other AIO water cooler.

toon_mad said:

If it leaks, the cooler is covered. If it leaks on other parts you will have to check with the place of purchase/manufacturer.

Yes.

toon_mad said:

That's not a question.

toon_mad said:

Hard to really scale it. It will have no problems cooling it providing you aren't overvolting the crap out of your chip - and you should already know how the silicone lottery works.

toon_mad said:

You're better off looking through build logs to find the colour you want, and then ask for the same fluid to be used in your cooler.

The standard radiator is fine. The BlackIce will shave off a few degrees, but make sure you have the extra room inside your case.

Looking at the specs, the main difference appears to be thickness - the XPSC slim is only 35.5mm thick, while the hardware labs is 54mm thick, so first thing is to check that you have enough clearance for the 54mm thick rad + fans.

From a quick google, the thicker radiator tends to be better at high fan speeds, while the thinner one is more optimised for low fan speeds. Im sure that a thicker rad means more ability to dissipate heat, but Im unsure how much better it is in terms of %.

Looking at graphs on a couple of websites at the 360mm variants of both radiators, they actually appear to dissipate similar amounts of heat at similar fan speeds

That is, of course, assuming that I understand the graphs correctly :)

Standard radiator

Advanced radiator

The advanced is a thicker rad. Thicker rad = more surface area = better cooling.

Thanks cwgk91, Shawy and BaDBoY_UK,

For me I would be using the Corsair Carbide 540.

How long do these usually take to build and be despatched? This is the last decision for my build before ordering on which cooler to go with so probably won't be ordering until Sunday or Monday now.

Cheers

Are you planning on using the top via push/pull?

I would recommend the XSPC on push/pull and it'll barely make it

Otherwise Black Ice in either Push or Pull but not both

Or ask them to do a 360 version for you via Sales Support and use the front. XSPC 360 35mm rad with 6 x fans in Push/Pull is what I have got with the Eisberg
