** OCUK TWITCH CHANNEL PUBG TOURNAMENT INFO AND SIGN UP THREAD **

Kwango what makes you think I want you in my match?
scared ;)
Fully agree with your sentiments regarding UK based participants, but you’re wasting your breath - they’ve made it adubndantly clear they’re taking no action over this.
yea i noticed they're not really saying much, but they kind of have to take action. it's in the rules their own rules that it is UK based only. if they allow openly non UK based teams/players to enter it, at the very least, draws into question the integrity of the comp and OcUK surely.

Totally, just knowing you’re sat there shirtless hunting me down just scares the crap outta me :(

Of course it does. But they’re unwilling to postpone the event in order to reinforce adherence to the rules.

i might even be pantless if you're 'lucky' :p

no need to postpone it, just kick out the offending parties. there's 1 very obvious outfit as i've already mentioned. thing is in this day and age if they don't show action in adhereing to their own competion rules there's avenues of independant complaint that can result in fines etc and you always run the risk of some cry baby going down that route.

i couldn't care less who plays but i followed the no non UK rule, otherwise i'd have had my good mates DrDis and Shroud come join me :p:D

In respects of teams/players taking part who are not UK based, we implemented this rule because we physically don't have the means to ship some of the prizes to various countries. To ship something the weight of noblechairs to them can be prohibitively expensive!

I've emailed the 2 teams in question and asked them to provide 4 UK addresses to send the prizes to otherwise if they still wish to take place then should they win the prize will be forfeit and go to the next placed team.

Since there is no way of ip tracking or verifying player location, this is the only tool I have to police the rule that I can think of.

Looking forward to tomorrow evening now. Gonna be good to see the first 90 people playing and can't wait to see some elite tactics:

On the subject of our roster not being UK based. We have UK address for each of our players and so we are eligible. It did not state they have to be UK Citizens.

Are they based abroad? Rule says:

Tournament is only open to players in the United Kingdom

We are a UK based org but our current line up is not from the UK, if this is an issue then please remove us. I assumed that the issue was with sending prizes to outside the UK due to postage, because if we won then we have a UK address for our players.

I guess this here:

*** Tournament is only open to players in the United Kingdom. OcUK decision is final in all tournament matters. The format may change depending on the number of entries. Prize models are guaranteed - colours may vary. Value of prizes correct at time of posting. No cash alternative ***

Kinda rules you out, unfortunately. I would assume ocuk will get more viewers to their channel with your squad playing with us, but I doubt players living outside of the UK are allowed to compete.

If your players have separate addresses in the UK we can send prizes to then they can play. It has been stated in the rules that the tournament is:

"only open to players in the United Kingdom."

If not then better to leave this one.

I thought it was pretty clear but maybe need to get a lawyer to make a T's and C's for the next tourney :)
