**OcUK ULTIMA 7" IPS & 10" IPS SUPER-FAST TABLETS - SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICING!!**

China branding won't last long in longer term, cos it too cheap brand.

bulldog. i dont call you out very often, but in this instance, you are flat out wrong.

the tablet you purchased originally was a very low end budget tablet that cost between £50-£80
plain and simple, you expected much more of it than it was realistically capable of.
battery life on tablet devices improves with useage, something we stated countless times to you but you chose to ignore.
iplayer as an application was poor and has recently been improved. a fault with the OS and devs, not with the hardware.

The new tablets we have listed, come direct from the manufacturer who we have a direct relationship with.
this involved us testing and evaluating the products before buying consignments.

this is very different to the scenario before where we purchased a good value tablet direct from UK distribution.

Please, have your opinion but dont unwittingly tarnish any ocuk branded product with the same brush.

I have a £200 Nexus 7 and an OcUK Ultima Tablet.

the ocuk tablet has more functionality that is useful to me and is presented in an attractive package.
not to mention the extended DSR capability you get from OcUK and the one year straight swap warranty.

if you had purchased one of these current range of ocuk tablets, your argument would have basis and your opinion would be totally valid.

as it stands, you are comparing two devices manufactured in entirely different locations by two separate OEMs based on the fact that they are marketed under our own brand.

If you absolutely have to come into every tablet related news thread with a negative attitude, at least do some research before you submit a reply.

i really do hope you read this and take it on board because i am sick of seeing the same posts from you every time a tablet thread is posted.

I did but I sent it back under DSR

No you have not, why are you lying in this thread bulldog? You purchased a cheap tablet weeks ago, compared it to an IPad and sent it back.

The OcUK tablets mentioned here only arrived Christmas Eve, so why are you lying as you've not had one of these?

You had one of the much cheaper items, certainly not an Ultima, stop trolling threads as it's uncalled for.

I don't mean this one Gibbo, it was the old tablet 7" a few months back! Apology for mix-up.

Gibbo, maybe Bulldog didn't clarify in the first place? He was certainly referring to his previous tablet.

I think anyone could work that out that Bulldog couldn't have ordered an Ultima if it wasn't available pre-24th December, so can deduce that he must have been ordered a different tablet (which is what I think he is trying to say).

By the way, Merry Christmas to you and your OCUK staff.

Yep u are correct there gibbo, it was OcUK Nebula 7" 8GB Tablet PC - Andriod ICS 4.0 /w Play Store that I had previous had it last October.

Well in the new year the range shall be simplified a lot more as right now the names don't make a huge amount of sense, going forward it shall be:-

OcUK Primo - Basic tablet, ok for browsing, Facebook and 720P video with low price, say £50 - 100
OcUK Titan - Good performance, ok for everything including games but using TN panels, say £75 - £150
OcUK Ultima - Great performance, can handle anything game/video wise with high-resolution IPS screens, say £90 - £200
OcUK Ultima Hardcore - Quad Cores, 16Gb-32Gb, very high-res IPS, say £200 - £300

So Nebulas, Enduros shall be phased out. We might introduce a Verso too so a tablet with every type of connectivity, gps, sensors, Bluetooth, USB, wifi, 3G etc.

Merry Christmas too all! :)

Which is not a performance tablet, it's single core, TN screen, it's good value but it's no Ultima by any stretch of the imagination. What made things worse you went with the Nebula and compared it to an IPad which cost over 5x more expecting the same.......

The 7" Nebulas are OK but were now working direct with a factory and the stuff were getting is just so much more better, admittedly more expensive but worth the extra.

My concern is that TimMtratrix and bulllldog147
I

I assure you that I am NOT "Bulldog147". I am in fact a different person in a different location (around 28 miles) from Bulldog and although I do know him in person as he's my best friend for many many years.

I sincerely hope this eliminates your doubt as to whether Bulldog147 and TimMatrix are the same person, when it is clearly not so.

Merry Christmas to you.

I off to bed now, night all, apology for silly reply to this thread which I shouldn't have done. But, no hard feeling ocuk, their service is top professional and best service ever. I will use them again. ;)

Just back from work and my 7" IPS has arrived. Very impressed with the look of it so far.

No microSD card with it though.

The unit itself seems pretty quick, the images is sharp and the camera is pretty good at first glance. Looking forward to putting some stuff on it.
