OCUK's new website

search needs to be sorted out.

I was looking for "Lian-Li PW-PCI-E38 High Speed Riser Card Cable - Black"

Stock Code CA-720-LL

searching any of the keywords generally brings up Lian Li cases, even if the words are "riser cable" or "riser card" searching the stock code brings up a fan controller. The only way I could find it was going through my history -.-

also, free shipping seems to have gone :/

Is the order tracking stuff no longer available? If it is I can't find it. Next day DPD, sent / ready for collection.
Wasn't there an external link you could click that would take you to the DPD website that would let you track the delivery? That was very useful.

So why is it still the first item on your front page? I sent the link to a colleague at 15:45 today because he was going to buy after I told him the price..... Needless to say, he wasn't bothered it was sold out, what he thought was stupid and annoying was the "apparently, this product is not available anymore".

APPARENTLY.

What was everyone saying about it not being "professional"? Stop trying to be funny and just say it's out of stock and remove it from your front page after 4 hours as well.... At it!

Because that is how TODAY ONLY has always worked, the old website when sold out would just revert to the regular price or remove the buy button if the allocated stock had sold out.

The new site at the moment cannot allocate an amount of stock, so it will just leave the product on sale until it sells out.

We had 60 units to sell, you had all day Sunday and Monday to get one, they had sold out late Monday morning.

Today ONLY Deals refresh around 9am every day, if you don't want to miss out on a potential great deal check the website each day early morning.

Otherwise as the saying goes, snooze you lose. :)

I thought i ordered the SSD early Sunday , but for some reason it didnt go through , even though i put all my payment details in the Secure Pay option. Got the 1st email , but not the 2nd email that is meant to come through. Had a chat about with Damo on the CS of the forum and there is nothing that can be done about it. Ah well , i think i prefer the older site.

Your sold out SSD is apparently, todays deal.
:p

I like the style of the new site, and welcome the changes, but as others have said it is too busy.

A few suggestions that would make it work a bit better:
- On the main page the categories with pictures e.g. PC Systems/Laptops/PC Components/Cases&Modding/Monitors all have the text twice - remove the white text on black background

- on the homepage the categories mentioned above are all listed in the silver bar? Not sure of the need for both - maybe integrate the images in the silver bar version?

- Silver menu bar and then another bar underneath (blue one) with Offers/Top Sellers etc is contributing to the busy look - maybe better placed down the side (and more more useful than the OCUK World social bit?)

- Silver Menu bar - Colour seems out of place - Probably better with just a single (blue)menu bar as mentioned above

- Footer looks huge (3/4 of a 1080p screen tall) and out of place

Hm...

Trying to order EVGA SLI bridge and it locks up with animated OCUK logo when trying to add to basket. Page refresh seems to kick it up the rear.

Is there still a bit of a DDOS attack going on? Seems quite slow to respond across the board to me.

Looks nice.

The number of customers that threatened to stop doing business with us because of a website change was nuts. Mainly because A) It was change B) The website didn't have the familiar links they were used to.

Good luck, and I hope things keep on improving :)
