*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Currently no, in fact you can't play any multiplayer with the modded version. I have no interest in multiplayer thankfully, just me vs the wife scoreboards.

Oh thats a little disappointing. I hadn't got round to re-modding my beat saber yet to play the custom songs I have, but you're saying I cant even mod it if I want to keep multiplayer?

Nope, and they don't think it is likely to ever be possible, which makes sense, no online multiplayer games allow modded versions, that would be too easy for people to start cheating in.

They really need to make adding custom songs standard then.

Does this apply on the PC modded version as well (does the PC version even have multiplayer or is that quest only)?

Unlikely due to copyright issues, but then Audica officially supports custom songs, so who knows, really up to Facebook (as they own Beat Games).

No idea on PC, never used it, though if using BMBF does officially put my Quest at risk entirely, then I might just have to move over to the PC version and take the latency hit (which would suck on Expert or higher).

I just went on discord to try and find out what the situation is.

So as we know, if you mod beat saber on the quest for custom songs, multiplayer then doesn't work.
The PC version seems to allow custom songs and multiplayer, because custom songs don't need a mod on pc.

The latest BMBF mod was an early version to get custom songs working on the new beat saber, it doesn't yet support other mods. Expecting more updates to come within the next week or so to restore previous modding functionality.

Apparantly though, some more mods might be coming which allow custom songs in multiplayer, by setting up some standalone servers that would be crossplay with PC version.

I really need to look into how to add 3rd party tunes to Beat Saber, theyre supposed to make it much more fun.

Just purchased the elite strap from a highstreet store.. Had 2 in stock this morning. They had none at launch but certain ones are getting stock in.

What a difference!.. I couldnt get a decent image with the original strap as it wouldnt fit right and always had a issue with trying to hit the sweet spot.
I put in the glasses spacer (although i dont wear glasses) and fitted the strap and hit the sweet spot straight away. Feels way more comfortable and a lot easier to adjust.

I used the glasses spacer as although i dont wear glasses i felt my eyes, face were touching the lenses. I read that a lot of people were having the same issue and using the spacer helped and it does.

You're better playing the native version as there's much less latency - unless of course you already own it on PC and don't want to re-buy.

Im playing the rift/s pc version via virtual desktop and with a bitrate of 70 its playing fine, can hardly tell the difference then when it was plugged into the rift s

Also being the Pc version i can play custom songs :)

My eye lashes were touching the lenses on my Q2 and it was driving me crazy! I totally forgot about the lens spacer so thanks for the reminder, now its in it has sorted the problem :)
