Blaston is really, really good. Well worth the £8

Dash Dash World (mario kart vr) isn't. It's really basic, and I think £19 is asking far too much. I've asked for a refund.

What's this strap like with over the ear headphones? I use skullcandy crushers with mine ( they are amazing! ), that large adjustment knob looks like it could be in the way?

Noticed MVH also sell an audio solution - has anybody tried these to see how they sound. I use over ear headphones but wouldn't mind using these if decent.

They are basically Porta KOSS Pro headphones. Reviews seem to say they are "very good for the price", so if you already have decent headphones then you are probably better off sticking with those, but these will still be better than the open air speakers on the headset.

The audio they sell is for the quest 1, it's 2 wires, he's working on an update for a single wire I believe.

I haven’t actually. It works fine on the USB 2.0 ports but I’ve only 2 3.0. I’ll give that a try! Cheers.

Edit: No joy unfortunately. Ordered an Anker one to give it a try.

On my old build the usb3 ports wouldn't work at all for oculus link (this was before it was compatible with usb2) and it turned out that the usb3 board I had was like one of three brands that wouldn't work with link!

Can't give you any more details because it was ages ago and I think I stumbled on the info on a random oculus forum post whilst searching for a solution.

Thanks - was just thinking I'll go for these as well if the strap gets in the way of my current Sony headphones - or is the strap ok with separate headphones (an earlier poster was concerned that the adjustment screw would get in the way).

Will probably replace the one wrap with cable ties when I am happy with it :)

Also added a small, 50cm, 3.5mm audio extension so I can easily connect my headphones when wearing the headset instead of fumbling to find the hole, so to speak ;)

Useful to know so thanks. I’ll have a google and see if I can find anything. Just going to concentrate on getting the PC wired in and using VD I think.

New Quest 2 owner reporting in. Came from Rift CV1.

Bought the quest 2 for the bump up in res as I'd like to play Elite more. Unfortunately, black isn't quite black enough to be completely immersive for me. It is Space after all.

The thing is the CV1 blacks weren't perfect either. My CV1 had horrible mura on dark scenes, until I used the registry hack to enable pure black, but that also upset the colour balance and there was a lot of posterizing on darker colours.

True, wasn't perfect, but they were better than Quest 2 blacks imo.

I think ill wait for G2 for Elite playing and just use Quest 2 for more brighter and non-stationary games. Still a great screen though.

Btw, I really wish you didn't tell me there was a registry hack for the blacks... haha. oh well, sold it now.
