Oculus Rift

The price is really amazing though. I am tempted to buy another Rift. I wonder are the newer headsets better quality?

Well, I had mine replaced a couple of months back, and the look/feel is identical. I hope the internals are a bit more solid though so that my audio doesn't bite the dust again.

Yup I'm on my 3rd (one through Amazon and two from Oculus via RMA) and can't say I've noticed any improvement in the build quality which always seemed excellent to me.

I'll be interested to see what if any impact this announcement has on the current Vive price.

Indeed. £400 is probably the sweet spot for people who were put off by the price of the headsets. If the Vive drops in price then hopefully there'll be an upsurge in people buying either headset - which can only be a good thing for VR.

Same here lol

I was lucky mine was only 6 weeks old (he even gave me the original receipt which i used as proof of purchase when a sensor had to be RMA'd. He sold it me for £350 after paying £599 because his son nicked the xbone controller...I already had a gamepad so not a biggy for me, now I've bought the touch controllers this deal is better...I thought that was a deal at the time and I'm so glad I got it...

This has peaked my interest. I just wish I bought Elite Dangerous during the Steam Summer Sale now.

Does anyone know if this deal also includes the Xbox wireless controller? It's listed on the rainforest but not Overclockers product description.

Only if they've already got a PC capable of running it though, £850 for VR ready PC I reckon, unless you cheap out on some components. A second hand 980Ti is still £330 on fleabay.
