Oculus Rift

:) Yeah, it's really good. Even if you don't play table tennis, it's still good. I love table tennis and the ability to play any time is amazing and without the trouble of chasing after the ball all the time. :p Mulitplayer is pretty good as well. Had a few great games against RockSteddie from these forums.

This is an example of not judging if you'll like a game because of your 2d experiences.
I would never be interested in playing this 2d. But in vr its a game I use as great examples of vr. So much fun.

Aircar almost instantly made me want to throw up.
Seems like i'm one of the unlucky ones who can't stomach vr. :(
Yea take it easy in VR. Start out with playing some driving games where you remain seated and don't get disoriented. I play Elite and generally I'm fine but if I'm pulling a manoeuvre to pitch upwards whilst rolling in to face a space station that is also rotating in orbit then that can make me have to take a few deep breaths.

After playing a couple of hours a day since getting mine I find I can tolerate it all for considerably longer. I find the biggest problem with VR is that I can't play into the night. It really prevents me sleeping for some reason.

Another member of that club here too:(
Still games that i can stomach are loads of fun
SS the last hope and robo recall, guns and bullets
Mainly where you stand and shoot are fine for me anyway.Any moving type and i want to upchuck straight away

Aircar makes me slightly queasy, and I have excellent VR legs. There's something about its movement that is particually bad for sickness. Would make an interesting study to find out exactly what it is - potentially it's the smooth turn rate.

Sorry if this question has already been asked. Hoping to find out if oculus is viable for myself.

My 'man cave' is really more of a 'man cupboard'.

To give an idea of width , I have the a 42" Hdtv in there which fits just (maybe an inch free at either side).

Length wise not too bad, have a big comfy reclining chair, am able to use my g29 wheel (with wheel stand pro).

Height wise , I can stand up but only just, I'm 6'4.

Do you think oculus would be viable in this environment or is it to limiting ?

Appreciate any feedback.

For seated games it sounds positively ideal. For roomscale, not so much. You already have a G29, so plenty of fun to be had in VR. Add a Saitek X52 Pro for instant Elite-ness.

How much floor area?
I `manage` with an area of 1.5m x 1.5m....Barely.Can`t move much and have to watch where i swing my arms but fun non the less:)

mmm if you have less that my area you would defo be in trouble for `action` games
Driving/cockpit should be fine if you like those

No way to move stuff around ?
