It just makes a bit of a mockery though that you can't even mention their names on here regardless of context but on one of OcUKs current advertising streams there are direct links to all their competitors current best deals and offers
It would be easy enough to set up a separate non related account with which to keep an eye on competitors.

I still find this whole Competitor thing perplexing.
Fair enough if you want to ban people saying "y0 you can get this cheaper at *****", but banning the discussion of game downloads from a particular jungle themed website because they sell other stuff that competes with OcUK seems a bit odd as there is far more available on that website that OcUK do not sell than they do.
Similarly, "that" electronics store. When someone asks (as I have before) "Where can I get such and such locally" the point is always made anyway, just without directly saying that name.
As Kenai said, it should all be about context. ie. "You can get xxx cheaper at xxxxxx" is understandable to ban. but "You can get this item that OcUK do not sell from xxxxxx" is harmless.

In my book:
- Water-vapour is not a competitor, they are a DD service whereas games from OcUK come a few days later by your postie.
- The purple shirts are not a competitor. They are retail stores 5 minutes from your office, whereas stuff from OcUK comes a few days later by your postie. You go to them when you want a cable/ink cartridge/stack of DVDs now, you know the internet is cheaper but you need it now. Yes they sell complete PCs which OcUK do too (again though, retail != internet) but the purple shirts PCs are crap and thus not competition anyways.
- The rainforest is primarily a book seller and CDs, though do a load of consumer electronics too. They are on the same market place as OcUK (internet order gets delivered by the postman), but they're not competing products. Though from todays threads I gather that they have started selling PC components. Guess they're not a competing company, just don't link to the few overlapping products.
- Taheri's lot that Gibbo used to work for are a competitor fair and square. Same products, same market place. No naming/discussing/linking/anything.

If the seller is willing to accept £35.77 (and whatever Will still has from his Waitrose shopping) then that plan sounds like a go-er to me.
In my not very exciting news that's another car of mine about to go to the scrappy, MOT today and they discovered that the ABS ECU has gone, one of the rear tyres needs replacing, one of the rear brakes is binding and all brakes/suspension/steering are partially corroded as well as a few other more minor issues. At least that little lot makes the decision easy, maybe it's just as well I was thinking of getting another car anyway.
