yeah I know, thats a pipe/distant dream, although I wouldn't mind learning how to polish/repair alloys, mine are so bad its just embarassing!!
read on m3 cutters its pretty cheap to fix them up and the results arent bad,

I'm the first to bang heads with mods (me & Rotty in the D&B thread for example). But Rotty obviously agreed with my points when I flagged the posts in the thread we're talking about, as he deleted them. As for Andrew Moore's post in the thread we're talking about, he was bang on. I know normal members can't see it since it was moved, but the mods will be able to go back (if they haven't already) and see it and how it was relevant to the posts in the thread.

my job pays 78k, just not the same as the old consultancy days which used to pay 150k for 6 months work!
£2325 on loan repayments, rest goes on rent, bills and living costs, currently leaves me with £211-215 a month to have fun with depending on the exchange rate
however in 2.5 years time I'm not going to know what to do with all that cash!!
You were there in the thread trying to justify the posts made as well. And you were spitting similar rhetoric about that's how motors is, when other regulars then came in and told you that no, that's not how it is or should be. I remember Panthro being one. But like I said, the mods will still have access to the thread so can see for themselves.

We are allowed to disagree, have arguments and be frank and express our own opinions. Even if they are negative ones.

This may sound stupid but I've been meaning to ask; your Porsche.
Why don't you sell the M3, buy a £1000 car for a few weeks, use the rest of the money to repair Porsche, sell Porsche for £30k, buy M3 for £15k again, you're now £15k+ and in the same situation with an M3 and no Porsche to drive?

You're allowed to be critical. But Peters comment was an out and out personal (and classist) attack. You then jumped to his defence claiming that's the way motors is.

Made a scathing personal attack on a users nephew he's never met, that because he chose to drive and modify a Saxo, he was a chav. There was no criticism of the individuals car, or what the individual had chosen to do with the car. The car and the magazine the car was featured in was enough for him to deduce the kid was a chav and it's not something one should be proud of.
